The final five contestants danced for votes on last night's "Dancing With The Stars" and be sure to catch tonight's results show to see who goes home. The final four contestants will perform for viewer votes on "American Idol" tonight. So far,  Michael Lynch looks like a real contender for the conveted grand prize. We'll see what happens the remainder of the season. New York's Apollo Theater will install it's own walk of fame, it announced today. It will honor Michael Jackson and James Brown with the walks first plaques. Smokey Robinson, Aretha Franklin and Ella Fitzgerald will also be honored by the theater. Jackson and Brown will have their plaques installed next month. Former supermodel and talk show host Tyra Banks has signed a three book deal with Delacorte Press for a fantasy series for young people. The series is about a young girl trying to keep up with the beauty game in an elite school for models or intoxibellas. The first novel,"Modelland" will be released in summer 2011. Country music starlet Taylor Swift will receive the Hal David Starlight Award at the Songwriters Hall Of Fame Awards on June 17, it was announced today. The awards show will take place in New York City. The singer has penned every song on both of her mulitplatinum cds. Phil Collins and producer Phil Ramone will also receive honors at the show. Singer Bobby Brown has reportedly gotten engaged to his current girlfriend. No word on a wedding date. Congradulations to the two of them. On dvd: "Edge Of Darkness" and "Hell On Earth". Monday Memo

"Iron Man 2" slaughtered the competition at the box office earning over 133 million dollars over the weekend. "A Nightmare On Elm Street", "How To Train Your Dragon", "Date Night" and "The Back Up Plan" all round out the top five films of the week. An Arizona judge has denied a request to have rapper DMX appear on "Celebrity Rehab". According to the judge, the rapper has been doing well in a court ordered rehabilitation program. With the release of his latest single "Forever Young" featuring Mr Hudson,  rapper Jay Z has broken the record for the most singles in  Billboard's top ten previously held by Ludacris. The single makes Hova's 17th single to hit Billboard while Ludacris has 16. Ludacris still holds the record for the most #1 singles on Billboard with five. His latest single, "My Chick Bad" from his "Battle Of The Sexes" cd is still  holding strong at #11, keeping him in the race. Sad news out of Hollywood. Singer/actress Lena Horne has passed away. She was 92. The actress/singer died at New York Presbyterian Hospital, according to spokeswoman Gloria Chin. No other details were given. The actress got her start as a dancer at Harlem's legendary Cotton Club and went on to appear in movies and on Broadway. One of her most famous roles was as Selina Rogers in "Stormy Weather". The title song became her signature piece. She was also the first Black actress to sign with MGM. She was also a imcomperable blues and jazz singer who captivated audiences all over the world. She has left a tremendous legacy that will live on. May she rest in peace.

Friday Facts

Sean "Diddy" Combs set the record straight regarding the rumors the he is the manager of both Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross by saying that people shouldn't believe what they hear. They are cool. He did admit that he has an announcement to make, but there's no word on what the annuouncement is regarding. Rapper Rick Ross recently denied rumors that he was robbed for his chain while visiting Los Angeles. He told Spliff TV that he was not in Los Angeles and that someone on Twitter started the rumor. He did reveal that he plans to release a mixtape/EP with DJ Smallz  titled "Albert Anatasia" prior to releasing his next cd, "Teflon Don". He also has  plans to tour with Sean "Diddy" Combs. Be sure to catch "Friday Night Lights" as the show begins it's stint on NBC, as many changes have taken place since it's last airing. "The Pacific" also has a lot in store for viewers as well. "Real Housewives Of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes set the record straight on "The Wendy Williams Show" regarding her son's recent arrest and marital problems. She denied having an affair with NFL star Charles Grant and stated that her son was arrested for outstanding tickets. Stay tuned. In theaters this weekend: "Iron Man 2" and "Babies". Thursday Dish

Aaron Kelly was eliminated from "American Idol" last night, bringing the contestant pool to four. Last night's results show also included live performances from Lady Gaga and Harry Connick Jr. Be sure to tune in to the season finale of "30 Rock" on NBC, as Liz Lemon sees three weddings she will attend. She stops just short of saying that she believes Matt Damon is the man of her dreams. After serving seven months of a one year sentence for probation violation, rapper Gucci Mane will reportedly be released on May 12. As reported previously, the rapper has formed his own record label 1017 Brick Squad Records which will house material from himself, Wacka Flocka Flame and OJ Da Juiceman. He also fired his management team, Icy/Mizay Entertainment, which is owned by Wacka's mother. In other music news, rapper Black Rob has been released from prison after serving a seven year sentence for failing show for a previous sentence hearing for  a grand larceny charge. The rapper stated he feels Sean "Diddy" Combs turned his back on him, but has no plans to record any diss tracks. No word on the rapper's label status. Be sure to catch "Saturday Night Live" this weekend. Legendary actress Betty White will host the show. Wednesday Roundup

It was Sanatra night on "American Idol" last night, with jazz great Harry Connick Jr mentoring the contestants during the show. By far the best performances of the evening came from Michael Lynch and Lee DeWyse. Be sure to tune in to tonight's results show to see who goes home. Harry Connick Jr and Lady Gaga will take the stage for live performances. Pamela Anderson was sent home on last night's "Dancing With The Stars". Be sure to tune in next week to see who goes home next and who takes home the mirror ball trophy. Bobby Brown, Christopher Williams and Al B. Sure! will be touring together on the "Secret Garden Tour" beginning May 8. This is the first time the trio has toured together and it should be an exciting show. Be sure to catch them when they appear in your area. Rapper Gucci Mane has fired his managers and started his own label after  his managers accepted advanced money for shows the rapper couldn't  make due to probation violation. At press time, the rapper will release music under his 1017 Brick Squad imprint with First Avenue Management and booking agency CAA. He's also slated to perform at Hot 97's annual Summer Jam concert on June 6. There is no release date for the rapper , however. Reportedly there is a movie in the works detailing the raise and fall of West Coast rap group N.W.A. No word on when filming will begin or who has been cast. Tuesday Tales

Be sure to catch tonight's results round of "Dancing With The Stars" to see who will be eliminated this week. The competition is heating up and it'll be interesting the see how viewers voted. You can also  catch "American Idol' tonight as the remaining five contestants perform the songs of Frank Sanatra. Jazz great Harry Connick Jr will mentor the contestants on this weeks show. As reported previously, both "Lost" and "24" are rapping up their seasons with edge of your seats episodes you must see. Here's hoping someone will release all seasons of both shows on dvd. Singer Keyshia Cole has postponed her upcoming wedding to Cleveland Cavalier player Daniel Gibson. No word on the reason for the delay. The two recently became parents of a baby boy, Daniel Gibson, Jr. Be sure to check out "Just Wright" starring Queen Latifah and Common when the film hits theaters on May 14. It's a romantic comedy that is sure to delight viewers everywhere. Former "American Idol" contestant Anoop Desai has new music in stores this week. On dvd: "Nine" and "Saving Private Ryan". Monday Memo

"A Nightmare On Elm Street" took the top spot at the box office over the weekend taking in over 32 million dollars. "How To Train Your Dragon", "Date Night", "The Back Up Plan" and "Furry Vengeance" round out the top five films of the week. Kiefer Sutherland and the rest of the cast of the hit show "24" rapped up the season with a finale party. In it's eight year run the show has seen several marriages and several children being born. The final episode airs May 24. As reported previously, comic Conan O'Brien sat down for an interview with "60 Minutes" last night, detailing the split from the "Tonight Show" and his new show which will air on TBS. The comic also hit the road for a series of stand up performances. Last night's interview was the first for the funnyman since leaving NBC. Country sensation Taylor Swift has been named the new face of Cover Girl. The spots will air in January. Sad news to report out of the world of hip hop. Michael Johnson, a relative of Grammy winning rapper Nelly, was shot and killed in St Louis on Wednesday while arriving at or leaving a home. There are no motives or suspects in the case.
