Tuesday Tales

Diddy has confirmed that the release date for his next album "Last Train To Paris" will be November 16. No word on a first single, however.. Rapper Lupe Fiasco has inked a deal with Atlantic Records. A single will be released on October 26, followed by an album in November. Fans will likely be very happy to hear the new music from the Chicago MC. The nominees for the upcoming American Music Awards were announced today and rapper Eminem and Lady Antebellum lead the nominees with five nods each. Teen hearthrob Justin Bieber has four nominations. Katy Perry, Ke$ha, B.o.B. and Usher each have three. Bon Jovi, Usher and Pink are slated to perform at this year's ceremony. The 38th annual American Music Awards will air on November 21 on ABC. Rapper Drake has confirmed that he did indeed write the Alicia Keys hit "Unthinkable (I'm Ready)" with label mate Nicki Minaj in mind. The rapper stated in an interview that conversations with his label mate as well as the Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz situation provided the inspiration for his verse on the song. It was a night of rumbas and tangos on last night's "Dancing With The Stars" and it appears that Jennifer Grey is a top contender for the grand prize. Tune in to tonight's results show to see who goes home. Actor/director Clint Eastwood is preparing for the release of his latest film "Hereafter" starring Matt Damon. The films plot explores what will happen in the afterlife. The film hits theaters in November. On dvd: "How To Train Your Dragon" and "Jonah Hex". Monday Memo

The film "The Social Network" topped the weekend box office, once again, earning over $15 million dollars. "Life As We Know It", "Secretariat", "Legend Of The Guardians: The Owls Of G'Hoole" and "My Soul To Take" round out the top five films of the week. It appears that rapper T.I will be heading back to prison in connection with his drug arrest in Los Angeles. The Atlanta rapper's parole officer suggested a six to eighteen month sentence, while the procecutor recommended a stiffer sentence. Let's hope that he can get his life back on track and back to doing what he does best soon. Rapper Eminem made a rare televison appearance on CBS's "60 Minutes" last night where he discussed his humble beginnings, his succes, his bout with drug abuse and returning to the spotlight. The rapper looked fit, trim and healthy and has made an incredible comeback. The filming of the remake of the 80's classic "Footlose" has finally begun with a new cast and director. The film will have a similar plot, with a few differences. While there's been no word on when it will be released, it's sure to be a hit with movie goers. On a sad note, the world of R&B has lost one its pioneers. Singer Solomon Burke died while on a plane at Amsterdam's Schiophol airport, Sky News said. He was 70. He was scheduled to perform Tuesday in Amsterdam. A member of the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, he is best known for the hit "Everybody Needs Somebody To Love". He began his career at the age of 14 with "Christmas Presents From Heaven". He fathered 21 children and has several grandchildren. He will be missed and his legacy will live on. Friday Facts

Singer Ashanti recently responded to rumors that rapper Nelly denied ever dating the former first lady of Murder Inc. She told website bet.com that she never said she was his girfriend and he never said she was his girlfriend. They have both always said they are just good friends. At any rate, whatever their relationship, let's hope it's an amicable one. Singer Toni Braxton has reportedly filed bankruptcy, once again. She now claims she owes over 5 million. Let's hope the singer can get her financial life back on track and get back to doing what she does best soon. Trey Songz and Drake recently took the stage at the Best Buy Theater in New York City to help launch Kodak's "So Kodak" campaign. The launch concert also featured Pit Bull and Rihanna. The two stated that they got involved in the launch because of technology the camera giant has introduced to the market and they wanted to be a part of it. NBC is currently monitoring the performance of the show "Outlaw" to determine whether to resume production. The show only averaged about 4.7 million viewers on Oct. 1, down from it's premiere week average of 4.98 million viewers. The show has been one of a few ratings disappointments for the fall televison season. The show stars Jimmy Smits as a judge who quits his job to become a lawyer.  Let's the show does better soon. As mentioned previously, "Grey's Anatomy" has kiced off it's season, and it's given fans plenty of reasons to tune in. Anxiety, an unwelcomed visitor and a brief fling are among the many plot twists the show has taken thus far. No doubt, there's more in store for fans. Thursday Dish

Rapper Fabulous and Amber Rose both took to social networking site Twitter to deny pregancy rumors that are swirling about. The two say she is not pregnant. Rapper T.I. will have to face a Atlanta judge to determine if his recent drug arrest is a violation of his parole. Fans will recall he and wife Tiny were arrested in Los Angeles for possession of ectasy. We'll see how the situation pans out for the two. Despite still serving a sentence for gun possesssion, rapper Lil Wayne has the number two album in the country this week with "I am Not A Human Being". Congradulations Weezy. Tyrese recently took to Twitter to sound off on what he feels is Kim Kardashian's lack of support of friend LaLa Vasquez's new reality show. The two are friends, apparently, and Kim made no mention of her friend's show. Last night's "Survivor" episode proved to be filled with one surprise after another. It's the old against the young, and it's anyone's guest who'll come out on top. Be sure to tune in to see who walks away with the grand prize. "Grey's Anatomy" has kicked it's season off into high gear as well. The remainder of the season should keep fans glued to their televisons. Former Beatle John Lennon would have celebrated birthday number seventy this Saturday and many believe he would have had the birthday bash of all bashes. Rest in peace John. Your legacy will live on. Wednesday Roundup

Rapper Kanye West has reportedly cancelled an upcoming appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show". The Chicago born artist was scheduled to appear on the show for an interview, but backed out. No specific reason was given for the cancelation. In other Kanye West news, the rapper's ex-girlfriend, Amber Rose, is according to website mediatakeout.com, expecting a child. The father of the child is rumored to be rapper Fabulous. The two have been dating off and on for some time. No word on when the baby is due. Rapper Lil Wayne was put in solitary confinment after being caught with an mp3 player and headset when he's serving time. He's scheduled to be released in November. Margaret Cho was given the boot on last night's "Dancing With The Stars". Be sure to tune in to see who wins the grand prize. Among the contenders, it appears, are Jennifer Grey and Audrina Patridge. The two have impressed judges with their dancing and seem ready for a showdown for the top spot. WWE star John Cena is preparing for the relase of his new film. Although he plays a character not very much unlike the one seen on "Raw", the film is, nevertheless, one that should please fans. Tuesday Tales

Rapper Kanye West is apparently going at both his exgirfriend Amber Rose and NFL star Reggie Bush on the Chris Brown single "Duces Remix".  He makes scathing remarks about both, and it's anyone's guest how the situation will pan out. Let's hope it doesn't get too out of hand. One thing the hip hop community doesn't need is to lose another talented artist. Rapper Ludacris will add his name to the list of  hip hop artist who have a line of headphones on the market. Jay Z and Dr Dre also have their own headphone line on the market as well. Singer Jermaine Jackson hit the stage at Planet Hollywood for a tribute performance to his late brother Michael Jackson, the problem is he will not be able to sell dvd's of the performance without the permission of Michael's estate. He even dressed as Michael would have, with Michael's children in attendance. Just three weeks into the competition on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" and Brandy and Audrina Patridge have wowed the judges with their performances. Be sure to tune in to tonight's results show to see who get's sent home. One of the breakout hits of the fall televison season is, without a doubt, "Hawaii Five-0". The show not only features an excellent cast, but has outstanding writing as well. The show airs Monday night on CBS at 10 p.m. Actor Bruce Willis is set to release yet another fast paced action film called "Red". It appears to be more of what fans have come to expect from the star. On dvd: "The Karate Kid" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street". Rapper Kanye West's next album which was scheduled for release on November 16, has been pushed back to November 26. No explanation was given for the change. In other Kanye West news, the rapper went on a tirade on Twitter after discovering that a track from the unreleased disc had been leaked over the internet. Here's hoping the rapper gets over it soon. Singer Rihanna and rapper Nicki Minaj are reportedly working on a track for Rihanna's upcoming release titled "Raining Men". Fans will recall that the two were set to tour together, but the tour plans didn't pan out. The track should be smoking, nevertheless. For fans of singer Faith Evans who've wondered where the singer has been, wonder no more. The singer is currently in the studio working on new material that she will release on her own label. No release date has been given, however. It's great to hear the singer is back in action after a long break. Last night's episode of "Grey's Anatomy" was a huge hit with viewers. Fans should definitely keep tuning in, as the show will certainly have more surprises in store. It looks like actress Jennifer Grey is a top contender for the grand prize on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars". She and her partner have earned top scores since the season began and just get better every week. Be sure to tune in. Singer/actress Cher is gearing up for the release of her new film "Burlesque". She plays a club owner in the film, which also stars Christina Aguilera. The film hits theaters on November 24. In theaters this weekend: "Case 39", "Let Me In" and "The Social Network".
