Monday Madness
The Michael Jackson documentary, "This Is It" danced it's way to the top of the weekend box office. The film grossed 101.1 milion dollars in the U.S. alone, topping the Miley Circus film, "Hannah Montana/Miley Circus: Best Of Both Worlds Concert Tour". Sony Pictures has nixed it's plans for a two week run and extended the film's run for two more weeks. "Paranormal Activity", "Law Abiding Citizen", "Couples Retreat"and "Saw 6" round out the top five films of the week. Singer Rihanna will finally break her silence with a performance on "Good Morning America" on Thursday and another televison appearance on "20/20" on Friday. It will be her first interview since the Chris Brown incident back in February. The series "Southland" has been given new life. It's been reported that the cable news network, TNT, will air the series's thirteen episodes beginning in January at 10:00 pm. Congradulations to actor Mel Gibson and his girlfriend are in order. The two recently became the parents of a baby girl. The child was born at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles. This is the actor's eighth child. He has seven children with his ex-wife. On the tube: "House" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "Dancing With The Stars" on ABC and "Heroes" on NBC. Happy Monday!
