Tuesday Tales
An "American Idol" contestant has been kicked off the Fox talent show due to his father's lose lips. The father of Big Mike, as he is known on the show, told a friend that his son had made it to the semi-finals. It's against "Idol" rules to discuss judge's decisions before they are announced on the show. In more "American Idol" news, it's been rumored that singer Beyonce will replace Simon Cowell when he leaves the show at the end of the season. Another much more safer bet, according to the rumor mill, is either Jamie Foxx, or Madonna replacing Cowell on the show. Rock icons AC/DC are set to release the soundtrack to "Ironman 2". It won't contain new songs, however. It will include 15 AC/DC classics, such as, "Let There Be Rock", "Thunderstruck" and "War Machine". The soundtrack will be released on April 19. The film will be released in theaters in the United States on May 7. Singer Whitney Houston has added dates in France and Germany to her recent comeback tour. Oscar nominees will be announced on Feb. 2. Actress Anne Hathaway will join Academy President Tom Sherak to announce the nominees in 10 of the 24 catagories for the most coveted award in film. 70's pop icon Neal Sedaka is back with his first cd in some time, "The Music Of My Life". On dvd: "Whip It", This Is It", "Surrogates" and "Saw 6". On the tube: "American Idol" on Fox, "NCIS" on CBS, "Scrubs" on ABC and "The Biggest Loser: Couples" on NBC. Happy Tuesday!
