Rumors are running rampid around the industry that singer Alicia Keys is expecting. The singer's camp has offered no comment on the matter. In the meantime, the singer is in the middle of a European tour. A former Rikers Island guard is planning to file a federal suit against her former employer for discrimination and harrasssment. She claims she went to visit a colleague when she was asked to leave the area where rapper Lil Wayne was staying. Rapper/producer Pharrell Williams has pused back the release date of his next project. The disk was to be released in June, but has been pushed back to July. Be sure to catch "60 Minutes" this Sunday, as the news show sits down for a interview with Conan O'Brien. This will be the funnyman's first interview since leaving "The Tonight Show" and moving to TLC. Not only is rapper Trina gearing up for the release of her next cd this Tuesday, she's also gearing up to release a new cosmetic line. The line named after her new cd, Amazin will be introduced by a lip gloss to be followed by a line of eye lashes. She hopes to have the products out in May. Siobhan Magnus was booted from "American Idol" last night, bringing the contestant pool to five. Last night's show included live performances from Rascal Flats, Shakira and Lady Antabelm as well. Next week the remaining five contestants will take on the music of Frank Sanatra. Representatives for Usher are dening rumors that he is engaged to Grace Megual. They say the rumors are false. Stay tuned for more as it develops. In other Usher news, his protoge, Justin Bieber, has fallen from the top spot on the charts, although he's still causing histeria everywhere he goes. Fans of singer Trey Songz will be happy to know that the singer is embarking on a headlining tour beginning in July. No dates have been announced as of yet. For fans of the "Scream" franchise a fourth installment is in the works. It reunites the previous writer, Kevin Williamson, director Wes Craven and actors Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette. The film is slated for a April 15, 2011 release. It was country night on "American Idol" last night with country diva Shania Twain mentoring the remaining six contestants. It's a tough call this time around as far as who should get the boot, as each contestant really pulled out all the stops and delivered the best performances of the season. Tonight, the viewers decison will be revealed Several live performances are slated for tonight's show as well. Actor Russell Crowe dropped a bombshell on "Access Hollywood" when he revealed that singer Beyonce has pulled out of the remake of the classic film "A Star Is Born", fueling rumors that the singer is expecting. There's been no confirmation or denial from the singer's camp, so for now it's just a rumor. Rapper Lil Wayne has finally revealed his problems with the documentary detailing the recording of his smash cd "The Carter 3". The film also gave viewers an inside look at the MC's marijuana and cough syrup addictions. He stated that not wanting the film released was about business, paper work. Actor Robert Redford has a new film detailing what happened after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln called "The Conspirator" in the works. No word on when the film will be released. Rapper Jim Jones is slated to teach a six week course to high school students through Entertainers 4 Education Alliance Inc starting today. He says he will teach the students how to touch base with several facets of the music business. From the label owner perspective, the executive perspective and the artist perspective as well. Atlanta rapper B.o.B. is boiling over with excitement over the release of his debut cd, "The Adventures Of Bobby Ray" today. The Rebel Rock/Grand Hustle/Atlantic artist collaborated with mentor T.I on one track "Bet I Bust". The cd includes appearances by T.I, Eminem, Lupe Fiasco, Haley Williams, Bruno Mars and others. Singer Usher has reportedly been dropped by his record label Jive Records. The singer's latest effort "Raymond Vs Raymond" did well during it's first few weeks of release then tanked. The film "How To Train Your Dragon" topped the weekend box office taking in over 15 million dollars. "The Back Up Plan", "Date Night", "The Losers" and "Kick-Ass" round out the top five films of the week. Singer Rihanna is recovering after being admitted to a hospital for an injured rib after suffering rib pains after a concert in Switzerland. The singer is currently on the European leg of her "Last Girl On Earth Tour". She's slated to begin the North American leg of the tour on July 2 in Sacramento California. Rapper Julez Santana recently told bet.com before hitting the stage at 106 & Park that he'd like to see more New York hip hop artists unite. He stated that it is a beautiful thing when it happens. He's in the studio working on his next project called "Born To Lose, Built To Win", which is slated for release later this year on Def Jam Records. Producer Jim Jonsin is suing rapper Lil Wayne for 500,000 from the single "Lollipop" for unpaid royalties. The producer has yet to receive any compensation for the track which was the first single from Wayne's "The Carter 3". "Lollipop" sold over 3 million digital units and topped Billboard's charts for several weeks. In addition to producing the track Jonsin is also listed as the track's co-writer. Representatives from Cash Money have not commented on the suit. Be sure to watch "You Don't Know Jack" starring Al Pacino and airing on HBO tomorrow at 9 PM. The film is a bopic of Dr Jack Kevorkian, who assisted many termilly ill patients with ending their lives. Mr Pacino gives yet another spactacular performance in the role and looks amazingly like the doctor. Singer Macy Gray is receiving the kind of pubicity she does not need at the moment. The singer signed a $2000 a month contract with a public relations firm in 2005, amassed a $43,378.77 billed and has yet to pay it. A collection agency wants Gray to pay in full. "Idol Gives Back" aired last night and the show was filled with star studded performances from the Blackeyed Peas, Carrie Underwood, Josh Stone and Jeff Beck and Mary J Blige and the All Star Band. Wanda Sykes and George Lopez were also on hand to give the show some comic relief. Rapper Queen Latifah hosted a peformance segment from Pasadena CA while the results show was held in Hollywood. Tim Urban was voted off the show, knocking the contestant pool down to six. The sister of Keith "Guru" Elam of Gangstar has released a offical statement regarding her brother's death saying that the family wants the thank the fans for their outpouring of love and support. She also mentioned that the family is planning a memorial in honor of the hip hop icon to take place in the near future. Stay tune for details as they become available. Rapper Lloyd Banks recently stated in an interview with bet.com that he doesn't particuliarly care for the latest track by rapper Shyne, the first from the embattled rapper in nine years. He stated he believes Shyne sounds like someone who started rapping after they completed their sentence and not the other way around. Banks is preparing to release his third solo effort titled "The Hunger For More 2" in the summer of 2010. It was inspirational night on "American Idol" last night, with Alicia Keys mentoring the top seven contestants. The best performances of the evening came from Michael Lynch and Crystal Bowersox. Since the season began they have proven to be the frontrunners in the competition. Kate Gosselin was voted off "Dancing With The Stars" last night. The competition on the show is getting down to the wire and it appears that Pussycat Doll Nicole Shurtzsinger may go home with the mirror ball trophy. Singer Chris Brown will headline "Virginia Stand Up! A Call To Action" on May 15 in Richmond VA at Virginia Commonwealth University's Siegel Center. Proceeds will go to the American Red Cross, Greater Richmond Chapter, to support the organization's relief efforts in Haiti and the Virginia Food Bank. Mario, Keri Hilson, Tre Songz, Juelz Santana and Ryan Leslie are also slated to perform on the show as well. On a sad note, the world of hip hop has lost one of it's icons. Keith "Guru" Elam of the legendary hip hop duo Gangstar past away after battling cancer for more than a year. He suffered a heart attack back in March and his health issues were then brought to light. May he rest in peace. His music will live on. The attorney for ex-wife Kelis filed contempt charges against the Queensbridge artist in February after he fell behind 200.000 in child support payments.A LA judge dropped the charges after the rapper forked over 50,000 in back payments. The film "How To Train Your Dragon" slayed the competition at the box office taking in over 20 million dollars. "Kick-Ass", "Date Night", Dealth At A Funeral" and "Clash Of The Titans" round out the top five films of the week. Rapper Soulja Boy is preparing to release his upcoming memoir "Teenage Millionaire" on July 28, 2010. The book will detail how the MC became a hip hop sensation at the tender age of 16. Miami rapper Rick Ross has been ordered by a New York City judge to pay DJ Vlad 300,000 in damages in connection with an assult that occurred at the Ozone Awards weekend in August 2008. The DJ stated that he was assulted after he published a story on his website that outed the MC as a former correctional officer. Ross reportedly reached out to the dj requesting that the two meet face to face. The meeting resulted in Vlad being assulted by several Ross associates. The DJ suffered a broken eye socket that required stitches, several facial fractures and a corneal abrasion. Ross has yet to comment on the matter. Billboard Magazine is now reporting that Sean "Diddy" Combs is now the manager of rapper Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross. Minaj's former manager has stated that she was fired before the Rihanna tour went bust. There still has been no word on when the rapper's album will be released. Rapper Jay Z is reportedly suing slugger David Ortiz for copywrite infringement. The hip hop mogul claims that the baseball great named a club he owns after Jay Z's 40/40 club. No word on the monetary amount Hova is seeking in damages. Fans of the 90's R&B group Dru Hill will be happy to know that the group has reunited with a new member. Sisko, Woody, Jazz and Tao have a new cd tentatively titled "Indrupendence Day" coming out this summer after a long hiatus. As the May televison sweeps approach, it will be interesting to see which shows survive and which one bite the dust. Both "24" and "Lost" will be ending soon and have episodes that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. Stay tuned. Rapper Nas has to pay for splitting with ex-wife Kelis. He was ordered to pay both back child and spousal support and only time will tell if the Queensbridge wordsmith has the funds. Shana Chin, who filed a lawsuit against Dwayne McKenzie, an assistant for rapper 50 Cent, has won in the suit. The woman was awarded 30,000 in the case against the man who she says assaulted her in the bathroom of the rapper's Connecticuit mansion on Memorial Day 2008. Late night host Conan O'Brien has signed on with cable network TBS and the comedian's show will air Monday through Thursday at 11pm. "Lopez Tonight", starring comedian George Lopez, will air at midnight. The schedule change will take place in November. In other televison news, fans of the hit show "Glee" will be happy to know that the show will make it's premiere tonight after "American Idol". The cast will perform the music of Madonna, which should be a delight for fans. The final episodes of "Lost" and "24" will be airing soon as well and should keep fans on the edge of their seats. Sad news out of Hollywood. Actress Dixie Carter, best known for her roles on the sitcoms "Different Strokes" and "Designing Women" has died of cancer. She was 70. Ms Carter provided many with laugh filled moments for many that will not be forgotten. She will be missed. May she rest in peace. Reportedly rapper Nicki Minja has dropped out of the tour with Rihanna not because she wanted to work on her album as reported, but because Rihanna didn't want to be upstaged by the rapper. According to some, Rihanna's career is on the down slide. We'll see what happens with that. Rihanna has also confirmed that slugger Matt Kemp is indeed her boyfriend. Warner Bros. Records, home to rapper Gucci Mane and others, has filed several copyright infringement lawsuits against several hip hop web sites and blogs claiming they have made mixtapes available for download. coast2coastmixtapes.com is one of the sites the company is threatening with legal action. Warner has made no comment on the suit. Former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight is suing Kanye West over a 2005 shooting that left the mogul wounded. Four years later Knight is suing West and the owners of the Shore Club stating that the club was not able to prevent weapons from being brougth inside the venue. He is seeking 1 million in damages. Viewers received quite a surprise on last night's "American Idol" when the judges placed the deciding vote for Michael Lynch. The "Idol" favorite received low votes from viewers before the judges made their final decison. Next week, two contestants will be voted off the hit show. "Clash Of The Titans" topped the Easter weekend box office taking in over 61 million dollars. "Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Too?", "How To Train Your Dragon", "The Last Song" and "Alice In Wonderland" round out the top five films of the week. Be sure to tune in to "Lisa Raye: The Real McCoy" which will premiere April 8 on VH1. The show will have a behind the scenes look at the actress's life and career. For fans of the show "24" a special two hour episode airs tonight. This will be the final season for the hit show and it promises to be a thrill a minute for all fans. Virginia Beach Police are not amused with a joke played by rapper 50 Cent. Local radio station Z104 announced that the hip hop star would be visiting Mount Trashmore to film a video, causing a frenzy among fans. Local police took to Twitter and Facebook to dispel the rumor. Local police stated that they appreciated that it was a joke, but as a police department, they have to be concerned about crowd control and traffic, even if the whole thing is a hoax. In other televison news, it looks like the end will soon be near for the Fox series 24. The latest issue of TV Guide magazine discusses the reasons for the end of the hit series. Rapper LL Cool J is at odds with both Sarah Palin and the Fox network. It appears that the network lifted an interview the rapper did back in 2008 for Palin's new Fox series, giving some the impression he would be a guest on the show.
