Thursday Dish
Just when it looked like it wouldn't happen, it has been confirmed that Lauryn Hill will be on the Rock The Bells Tour after all. The tour starts August 21 and will also feature Snoop Dog, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu Tang Clan, KRS-One and DJ Premier, among others. The tour begins on August 21 in San Bernardino CA. Rapper Kanye West will perform at the BET Awards on June 27. This will be the rapper/producer's first public appearance since the Taylor Swift episode a year ago. T.I. will perform on the show as well. It will be his first awards show appearance since being arrested just hours before the 2008 BET Awards for purchasing unregistered firearms. Diddy's Dirty Money crew, Drake, Nicki Minaj and Trey Songz are also slated to appear on the show as well. There seems to be a 70's and 80's revival going in Hollywood. This weekend the remake of the 1984 classic "The Karate Kid" will go head to head with "The A Team", the film version of the action series which ran from 1983 to 1987. It seems studios take the bait due to brand name recognition. We'll see which studio recoups it's dollars at the box office. While the summer will be filled with televison reruns, the networks have quite a few new shows prepared come fall. It remains to be seen which ones will be hits. On the tube: "Glee" on Fox, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" on CBS, "Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night" on ABC and "Community" on NBC. Happy Thursday!
