Wednesday Roundup

Director Antoine Fugua has confirmed that a biopic on the late Tupac Shakur is in the works. Shooting is scheduled to begin in September. Actor Terrance Howard has confirmed that he is being considered for a biopic on the late Marvin Gaye, but no word on a shoot date has been given. Rapper T.I responded to the backlash from his recent appearance at Woodland Hills Middle School in Henry County, GA, by saying that parents who were concerned about the Grand Hustle general making an appearance there, should have been more concerned with the message. The rapper is putting the finishing touches on his next cd, titled, "King Uncaged", which is slated for a August 17 release date on Grand Hustle/Atlantic Records. In more music news, it appears that downloads from the Fox hit, "Glee" are outperforming downloads from "American Idol" top finalists, Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox. DeWyze's first single, a cover of U2's "A Beautiful Day" moved over 100,000 copies, according to Sound Scan's preliminary information. Here's hoping the two catch up soon. Finally, as with any Wednesday during the summer season, the networks have a line up filled with reruns. Much better are the ABC offerings, back to back episodes of "The Middle". Be sure to catch them. On the tube: "So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox, "How I Met Your  Mother" on CBS, "The Middle" on ABC and "Losing It With Jillian" on NBC. Happy hump day!
