Thursday Dish
Singer Ne-Yo and his booking agent have been ordered to pay 156,000 to a promoter for a missed concert appearance in Washington state in 2008. Fans will recall that the singer was sued by the promoter after he reportedly took a deposit, but didn't show up for the gig. In other Ne-Yo news, the singer has an album set for release later this year. Producer Timberland made news recently in a way that he probably wishes he hadn't. Los Angeles police were contacted by his family when they feared a suicide attempt. The producer reportedly told his brother-in-law that he was disturbed by a robbery in which a $2 million dollar watch from Jacob & Co. was among the items stolen. He apparently thinks someone he knows could have been the culprit. He left his house after speaking with his brother-in-law and began driving his Escalade. His family became concerned when they couldn't reach him and contacted police. Shortly after, police helicopters and squad cars began searching for the producer. The helicopter eventually caught up with him and pulled him over and spoke to him to determine if he was a threat to himself. He was put in the back of a squad car and taken home where he along with his family was interviewed. Paramedics then arrived to evaluateTim and determined that he wasn't a threat to himself or others. Stay tuned for more as it develops. Rumors are swirling regarding who the cast members of the new season of "Dancing With The Stars" will be. "Jersey Shore's" The Situation, Tiger Woods mistress Rachel Ugetel and David Haslehoff are among those who could possibly appear on the show. There's been no confirmation or denial from ABC, so stay tuned as the story develops. With the franchise having done hugh numbers at the box office, the upcoming release of "Resident Evil: Afterlife" is sure to have fans ready to hit the local cineplex. Check it out when it hits theaters. On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, "Big Brother 12" on CBS, "Wipeout" on ABC and "Community" on NBC. Happy Thursday!
