Monday Memo
The film "Hop" topped the weekend box office, earning over $38 million dollars. "Source Code", "Insidious", "Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Rodrick Rules" and "Limitless" round out the top five films of the week. Nicki Minaj hasn't wasted any time letting it be known that she's the queen of rap. She's released a diss track aimed at Lil Kim. In the song she refers to Lil Kim's mixtape "Black Friday". So far, there's been no response from Lil Kim, but you can be assured that this beef won't end any time soon. In other Nicki Minaj news, the rapper was spotted at a Washington DC nightspot wrapped in a blanket, eyes covered with sunglasses. Club officials reportedly asked patrons not to ask for boob signings. Rapper Lil Wayne was spotted in Washington DC as well. He and his entourage reportedly got into a scuffle with some strippers at a DC nightspot. There's been no comment from the rapper's camp regarding the incident. The Academy of Country Music Awards aired last night with Taylor Swift winning Entertainer Of The Year. Miranda Lambert made the most trips to the stage, winning top female vocalist, among others. Although country artists may have been front and center, stars from other genres made appearances at last night's ceremony as well. Rihanna, James Taylor and Areosmith front man Steven Tyler all joined country nominees for duets during the three hour long ceremony. Another round of competition will take place on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars". Tomorrow the results will be revealed and viewers will learn who will be sent home. Actress Lisa Raye will return to TV One for another season of her reality show "Lisa Raye: The Real McCoy" on April 7. Actor/comedian Sinbad also has a reality series set to premiere April 12. On the tube: "House" on Fox, "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, "Dancing With The Stars" on ABC and "Chuck" on NBC. Happy Monday!
