Monday Memo

The film "Fast Five" sped to the top of the weekend box office, earning over $83 million dollars. "Rio", "Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family", "Water for Elephants" and "Prom" round out the top five films of the week. Congratulations to Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are in order. Mariah gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl on Saturday. Cannon was reportedly so nervous, that he took his wife to the wrong section of the hospital. At any rate, mother and babies are doing well. No names have been given to the children as of yet. Yet another rumor regarding Lil Wayne not paying producers has surfaced. Bangaldesh, the producer who worked on Weezy's single 6'7," now claims that he wasn't paid for his work and plans to sue. Stay tuned. In other Lil Wayne news, Cash Money Records CEO Bryan "Baby" Williams, is denying rumors that he'd like to sign Soulja Boy to the label. Soulja Boy reportedly stated in an interview that the CEO was trying to recruit him. Williams says Soulja owes his current label Interscope two more albums. West coast rap legend Warren G revealed in a recent interview that he has plans to put together a all star tribute video and EP in honor of his former music partner Nate Dogg, who died on March 15. The two previously worked together along with Snoop Dogg in a group called 213 years ago. The EP is expected to be released is mid June or early July. Be sure to tune to "Dancing With The Stars" tonight. The competition continues, and the contestants will have to bring the heat for votes. Rapper Nicki Minaj will perform her single "Moment For Life" on tomorrow's results show. Candice Bergen will guest star on tonight's episode of "House". She will play Cuddy's mother who threatens a lawsuit that could destroy both her daughter's and House's careers. There will be a party on "Chuck" as the groom to be prepares for his bachelor party. The film "Jumping The Broom" will hit theaters on May 6. It stars Angela Bassett, Paula Patton, Megean Good and Laz Alonzo.  On the tube: "House" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "Dancing With The Stars" on ABC and "Chuck" on NBC. Happy Monday!
