Friday Facts
BET is not backing down from its decision to air Rihanna's "Man Down" video. The cable network says it has a set of standards it applies to content aired and Rihanna's video is in compliance with those standards. Rihanna meanwhile, took to Twitter to let her opinion on the matter be known. She stated that entertainers are not "kids are us", and parents should talk to their children so that they don't turn out like her and others. Model Amber Rose shot down rumors she's expecting a child. She stated that she and boyfriend Wiz Khalifa love one another, and want children, but now is not the right time. If you thought CA rap group Cali Swag District would replace fallen member M Bone, you thought wrong. The surviving members of the group say they intend to keep his memory alive as they prepare for the release of their upcoming mixtape "Deeper Than the Dougie". As previously mentioned, Montae "M Bone" Talbert was shot and killed in a drive by shooting in the groups hometown Inglewood CA on May 15. He was laid to rest on May 27 in a open-to-the-public funeral at Faith Central Bible Church, also in Inglewood CA. The service was attended by more than 2,000 friends, family and fans. The Inglewood Police Department is still conducting an investigation into the murder and asking that anyone with any information come forward. In the meantime, the group says it has no plans to replace the dancer, however. It will continue as a trio. The explicit video Jennifer Lopez has been trying to block may see the light of day. The clip featuring the star and her ex-husband has started a bidding war of sorts. The only problem is, the most offered is reportedly $5,000. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that singer/actress Jennifer Hudson will star in the upcoming "Three Stooges" film. She will play one of the nuns in the orphanage where the brothers Stooge grow up. Other members of the ensemble cast include Jane Lynch of "Glee" and Larry David of "Curb Your Enthusiasm". This is the Grammy and Oscar winner's fifth film role. The film will be released by 20th Century Fox. The apes are at it again. "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" will hit theaters on Aug 5 and will feature computer generated effects, a first for the 43-year-old franchise. Although the 2001 version did well at the box office, it was panned by critics. Only time will tell how much better the latest installment of the film will do. In theaters this weekend: "X Men: First Class". On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, "Flashpoint" on CBS, "Shark Tank" on ABC and "Friday Night Lights" on NBC. Make it a weekend!
