Monday Memo

The last film of the Harry Potter franchise, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2", topped the weekend box office, earning over $160 million dollars. "Transformers: Dark of the Moon", "Horrible Bosses", "Zookeeper" and "Cars 2" round out the top five films of the week. Singer/actress Jennifer Lopez announced on Friday that after 7 years of marriage she and husband Mark Anthony have decided to split. She said in a statement that it is a painful time for all and would ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time. While Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony are splitting, former Pussycat Dolls frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger and her beau have gotten engaged. There's been no annoucement regarding a wedding date, however. Singer Beyonce continues her successful run on the charts with her fourth studio album "4". As mentioned previously, the album is currently number 1 on the charts and shows no signs of slowing down sales wise. There's been no word on when or if the star will tour in support of the album. In more Destiny's Child news, Rico Love, writer of Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland's hit single "Motivation", said in an interview that he's not resting on his laurels and has other songs prepared. Not only does he have four other tracks on Rowland's next album "Here I Am", which will be released on July 26, he also finished work on Mario's next album and will start work on Usher's next album soon. It looks like singer R Kelly is the latest victum of the foreclosure crisis. The singer/songwriter/producer could lose his 11,1140 square foot Chicago mansion due to a $2.9 million forclosure suit filed by J.P. Morgan Chase. The bank says Kelly has failed to make mortage payments since June of last year. He first bought the home in the upscale community of Olympia Fields 11 years ago. Kelly received a home loan in 1999, and the debt he has since accrued has exceeded the property's value. He has reportedly tried to renegotiate his payment terms. He has not lived in the home in over a year. The ABC show "The Bachelorette" continues, and its anyone's guest who will when Ashley's heart. It's been a drama filled season, as expected and the show should keep fans glued to their television sets. Fox's "Hell's Kitchen" returns tonight, and 18 chefs will compete for the grand prize, while enduring the rath of chef Ramsey. On the tube: "Hell's Kitchen" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "The Bachelorette" on ABC and "America's Got Talent" on NBC. Happy Monday!
