Monday Memo

The captain made it happen over the weekend.  "Captain America: The First Avenger" topped the weekend box office earning over $60 million dollars. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2", "Friends With Benefits", "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" and "Horrible Bosses" round out the top five films of the week. Authorities have not yet determined what caused the death of singer Amy Winehouse. An autopsy will be performed, and a toxicology test will performed soon.  Although it hasn't been confirmed, friends say they believe the singer died of an overdose of alchol and ecstasy. They also say she went on a binge with friends shortly before her death.  She joins the ranks of other artists who died at the age of 27, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison, among others. Miami rapper Flo Rida says a recent DNA test proves that he is not the father of a daughter. The mother of the child wants another test performed because she believes the rhyme slinger took the test under an assumed name. It looks like Kim Kardashian may win her recent suit against retailer Old Navy after all. As mentioned previously, the reality star sued the clothing company after discovering that it used a Kardashian look a like in an ad. This look a like also happens to be the latest flame of Kardashians ex Reggie Bush. Reportedly the star has been in talks to star her own clothing line and it was determined that there may be some confusion since the Old Navy ad has been running.  It remains to be seen if and when the matter will be settled. ABCs "The Bachelorette" continues tonight, along with "America's Got Talent". On the tube: "Hell's Kitchen" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "The Bachelorette" on ABC and "America's Got Talent" on NBC. Happy Monday!
