Monday Memo
The king of the jungle rules. The film "The Lion King" topped the weekend box office, earning over $20 million dollars. "Contagion", "Drive", "The Help" and "Straw Dogs" round out the top five films of the week. Rumor has it that singer Ray J and rapper Fabolous got into a scuffle over the weekend. The two happen to be at the same club, when words were exchanged. 50 Cent reportedly instigated, with the incident ending with Fabolous decking Ray J. Ray J reportedly had some jewelry stolen during the brawl. After firing her long time manager Jeff Robinson some time ago, rumors have surfaced that Alicia Keys has brought the gentleman back. Initially, rumors that he was fired due to Key's involvement with Swizz Beatz surfaced. Now, it's rumored that he's been brought back because of Swizz Beatz. There's been no confirmation or denial regarding any of the rumors. Rapper Lil Wayne was in Las Vegas over the weekend, and couldn't get into his own after party for the Floyd Mayweather fight. Apparently, there were some many in attendance that it was difficult for the rapper and his crew to get into the party. The prime time Emmy Awards aired last night, and "Mad Men" was among the top winners at last night's ceremony. The show won it's fourth Emmy, while "Modern Family" took home it's second during the 63rd annual telecast. "Downton Abby" won for Outstanding miniseries or movie, while Kate Winslet won Outstanding lead actress for her role in "Mildred Pierce". Actor Alec Baldwin explained to the press that he didn't bolt the event because of a joke. He left to attend singer Tony Bennett's 85th birthday party. Happy birthday Tony! Reportedly, Charlie Sheen and Ashton Kutcher met fact to face backstage, but there was no drama between the two. As most fans know, Ashton Kutcher has replaced Sheen on the CBS series "Two And A Half Men". The stars worked the red carpet and spent the evening celebrating the event. On the tube: "Hell's Kitchen" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "Dancing With The Stars" on ABC and "The Sing-off" on NBC. Happy Monday!
