Rapper T.I. pulled a fast one. In the beginning, it was reported that the rapper would be released from prison, then it was reported he wouldn't be. The rapper has been released. He had cameras following his every move. He's currently working on a reality show that will follow him as he attempts to focus on life out of prison. According to the Associated Press, the rapper will also co-author a fictional book with David Ritz about two childhood friends torn apart by dangerous dealings on the streets of Atlanta. The book, "Power & Beauty" will be released in October. Rapper Nicki Minaj stated in a recent interview that fans can expect more of her alter ego Roman Zolanski on her sophomore album. Fans seem to love the alter ego she introduced to the world on "Roman's Revenge". The rapper took home an award for best video for "Super Bass". Rapper DMX performed his first concert since being released from prison, and by all accounts, performed the best show of the year. He performed past hits for concert goers and left fans in a frenzy. It's been confirmed that rapper Pusha T has signed with Def Jam Records. The rapper, one half of the duo The Clipse, has stepped out on his own and has been linked to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label. He released his first solo project "Fear Of God earlier this year. A sequel, "Fear Of God 2: Let Us Pray", will serve as his debut album. The album does not yet have a release date. In celebration of her 40th birthday, actress Sanna Lathan graces the cover of the latest issue of Jet magazine. The actress discusses her career, advice she's received from her parents, her favorite things, men, marriage and turning 40. Jet magazine is on newsstands now. It appears that Lil Wayne isn't the only artist Drake would like to collaborate with. The Young Money emcee stated in an interview that he'd like to collaborate with Maybach Music boss Rick Ross. He believes the two have the right chemistry and track record for a collaborative effort. Stay tuned.
