Wednesday Roundup
Just after the rumors of cheating and the break up with ex-wife Mashonda, rumors have surfaced again that producer Swizz Beatz, who's now married to singer Alicia Keys, is cheating again. Reportedly, he and another woman have been sexting for some time. Keys took to her Twitter account to address the matter, and by all accounts, she's standing by her man. The woman in question has come clean in an interview with bossip.com and admitted that the two are having an affair. She claims she and Swizz met back in 2007 at a birthday party for Solange Knowles and have been seeing each other since. She also says she's never excepted any gifts from Swizz, except tickets to see him. Time will tell if this story turns out to be true or false. T.I.'s lawyer confirmed that the appeal for the rapper's release has been denied, and he will remain in jail until September 29. Meanwhile, rapper Gucci Mane is going back to jail. As mentioned previously, the rapper was arrested some time back for pushing a woman out of his car while the car was moving. He met the 36-year-old woman at a mall, invited he to lunch and offered her $150 to go to a hotel with him. She refused. Now, the rapper has been ordered by a judge to attend 12 weeks of anger management classes, pay $5,000 restitution for the woman's medical bills, and pay a fine of $1000. Hopefully, after this ordeal the rapper will get his life and career back on track. Congratulations to singer Fantasia Barrino are in order. She's reportedly expecting a baby boy. When one thinks "Watch The Throne", Jay Z and Kanye West rehearsing in Birmingham AL doesn't come to mind to be sure. Birmingham Mayor William Bell announced that the two hip hop superstars will indeed be camping out in the city for several weeks to rehearse for their upcoming "Watch The Throne" tour. He even compared their stay to the Jacksons rehearsals for their "Victory Tour' in 1984. He also mentioned that the rehearsals will be a major economic boost to the city, with hiring stage hands, hotel use and other needs of a major Yeezy and Jay sized production. He also hinted that the duo could perform in the city as well, although he wouldn't confirm it for certain. The "Watch The Throne" tour starts on Oct 28 in Atlanta. With hit records and many awards to his credit, it's hard to imagine anyone hating R&B star Ne-Yo, but the singer has recently found himself the target of some disturbing death threats. Jeff Choi has threaten to shoot the singer if he is not paid $800,000. The death threat stems from Choi's belief that Ne-Yo's label, Sony Music Entertainment, has been producing songs about him without his consent. He has been harassing Sony employees for months, and even showed up at their building on one occasion. He was quickly escorted out when his behavior got out of control. Sony Music Entertainment has received a restraining order against Choi. With the fall television season quickly approaching, the networks are busy preparing their lineups. Only time will tell which shows will cut the mustard and which will quickly bite the dust. On the tube: "Buried Treasure" on Fox, "Survivor: South Pacific" on CBS, "The Middle" on ABC and "America's Got Talent" on NBC. Happy hump day!
