Monday Memo
The comic book film "Marvel's The Avengers" topped the weekend box office earning over $200 million dollars. "Think Like A Man", "The Hunger Games", "The Lucky Ones" and "The Pirates! Band of Misfits" round out the top five films of the week. Singer Rihanna gave two spectacular performances on "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend. However, the producers are none too pleased with the star because she was a no show at the final dress rehearsal, which is always held before the show. Let's hope that won't stop her from being invited back. It looks like Drake's romance with a Rock Nation signee is over, because pictures have surfaced of he and Tyra Banks on a Disneyland date. Drake wore a fake mustache while the two enjoyed their time in the park together. For anyone who may be interested, Drake is 25 and Tyra is 38. Birdman dispelled the rumor regarding the amount Lil Wayne was re-signed to Cash Money Records for. He did say, however, that whatever Wayne wants, he gets. At any rate, Wayne continues to remain relevant and there's no stopping him. Just when it looked like the often delayed recently cancelled collaboration album between Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana was dead, it's on again. During a recent interview with BET.com, Santana stated that the album is on again and the duo will get back in the studio to finish the project after taking care of some personal business. Wayne announced the project had been cancelled and stated he had sent Santana some music, but the tracks weren't returned in a timely fashion. Santana, did admit to receiving the tracks and not returning them in time. He also mentioned Wayne contacted him shortly after being released from prison. The Dipset rapper agreed that he did have some issues that got in the way of the recording process. Now, it appears that the duo are on the same page and they'll finish work on their solo projects then finally finish "I Can't Feel My Face". In the meantime, Santana will focus on his two mixtapes, "The Reagan Era" and "The Reagan Era Continues". Talk show host Wendy Williams graces the cover of the latest issue of Jet magazine. The talk show queen discusses her career, and juggling both with marriage and motherhood. The latest issue of Jet magazine is on newsstands now. The competition continues on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" as the contestants vie for the grand prize. On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, "2 Broke Girls" on CBS, "Dancing With The Stars" on ABC and "The Voice" on NBC. Happy Monday!
