Sad news out of the world of music. Chuck Brown, the man known as the Godfather of GoGo, has died. He was 75. Brown was one of many artists credited with creating the GoGo sound, which began in Washington DC. Brown's biggest hit was "Bustin Loose", which hit #1 on the R&B charts in 1979. He has left an incredible legacy of music which will live on. He will be missed. More sad news. TMZ is reporting that singer Donna Summer, known as the Queen of Disco, has died. She was 63. She was reportedly battling cancer before her death. Summer began her career performing on the stage in Germany. She was later signed to Casablanca Records, where she went on to score hits like "Love To Love You Baby", "Try Me, I Know We Can Make It", "Bad Girls", "Hot Stuff" and "Last Dance". Another artist gone too soon, who has left the world an incredible musical legacy that will live on for years to come. May both Chuck Brown and Donna Summer rest in peace. They will never be forgotten. After being admitted to the hospital for exhaustion and dehydration and being dissed by Drake and Chris Brown, singer Rihanna is reportedly one step away from a nervous break down or rehab. Reportedly, her mother has moved into her Los Angeles home to keep an eye on her. Here's hoping the singer gets well soon. In lighter news, the singer made Forbes list of most powerful celebrities. She entered the list at number 4. Rapper 50 Cent tweeted a picture of himself lying in a hospital bed, but wouldn't elaborate on the procedure performed. He then tweeted another photo of himself on the way to the operating room. Hopefully, the procedure performed will be revealed soon and the G-Unit general will be able to get back to work. T.I has confirmed that protege Iggy Azalea is not signed to Interscope Records. She's a free agent and is in talks with several labels. One of XXL magazine's Freshmen of 2012, Iggy's working on an EP titled "Glory", which will feature Big Sean, Mike Posner and B.oB. She previously released the single "Murda Bizness" featuring T.I. Singer John Legend has gotten himself into a reality television beef of storts. The R&B star who will appear on the show "Duets", reportedly took a shot at Christina Aguilera, among others, saying how can you judge when you can't sing. No response from the targets of his wrath. Speaking of reality television, Waka Floka Flame stated he's embarrassed by reality television. He added that he believes that it's done to increase sales. As for his reported beef with Wiz Khalifa, he stated that it started over marijuana. Floka says he sent Wiz about an once of the marijuana to see who could smoke the most. The incident made it to social networking site Twitter with Wiz posting a tweet about it. Hopefully, cooler heads will prevail. The John Travolta case continues. Yet another man has come forward claiming Travolta made sexual advances toward him. Meanwhile, high profiled attorney Gloria Alred now represents the man only known as John Doe #1. No word on a settlement as yet. Jennifer Lopez was named the most powerful celebrity by Forbes magazine. She has endorsements, a clothing line as well. All that has started rumors that she may leave "American Idol" soon. Stay tuned as the story develops. The contestants performed three songs on last nights "American Idol". One picked by judges, the other by the singers themselves and the third picked by music mogul Jimmy Iovinne. The results of the voting will be revealed tonight. Tune in.
