Rapper Wale reportedly let a female journalist know he wasn't too pleased with her personal assessment of him and his music after learning of her review of a recent concert appearance. The journalist stated that during the show he pranced around the stage. Upon hearing this, Wale confronted the woman, even going so far as to yell and point at her. The journalist is standing by her statements, and even took things a step further by saying that females in hip hop are expected to remain silent regarding the bad behavior of males. Good for her. Singer/rapper Lauryn Hill is reportedly in hot water with the IRS. Hill has been charged with tax evasion, and has reportedly not paid taxes from 2005-2007. Most of her income has come from her debut album "The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill", and film appearances as well. She's due in court on June 29. She faces a year in jail and a 100,000 fine. After leaving Jive Records in 2011, the Grammy Award winner has found a home at Epic Records and is ready to release her fifth studio album "One Woman Army". She released the album's first single "Sweat" via Twitter. The song features a verse from fellow Atlanta artist 2 Chainz. She also toasted champagne with friends at an album listening party in New York. Jermaine Dupri, La La, Tricky Stewart and her boss LA Reid were all in attendance. During an interview with MTV News for the promotion of "That's My Boy", in which she co-stars with Adam Sandler, the singer promised fans are in for a treat when the album is released. It will mark the first release from the songstress since 2010's "Basic Instinct". It featured the single "Ride", for which a controversial video was made. The album was a commercial disappointment, producing the lowest chart debut in her career. After abruptly cancelling a planned trip to the UK this week, singer Rihanna took time to respond to reports regarding the reason for the cancellation. British newspaper The Sun reported that the "Birthday Cake" singer pulled out because she's burned herself out drinking, smoking and partying hard. Rihanna, of course, took to Twitter to respond. She wrote she cancelled not because she's sick, she pushed the trip back to spend time with family. She then had a few choice words for The Sun, which won't be repeated here. At any rate, she had been planning to ship off to London for a 10-week stay. It's unclear when her new departure date will be, but she's scheduled to perform at two festivals in the UK in the coming weeks. Radio 1's Hackney Weekend and the Wireless festival. In theaters this weekend: "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted" and "Prometheus". On the tube: "House" on Fox, "Undercover Boss" on CBS, "Shark Tank" on ABC and "Whitney" on NBC. Make it a weekend!
