Tuesday Tales
It looks like the latest celebrity hook up will be Lauryn Hill and Nas. Nas has reportedly always had a crush on Lauryn, although the two have never been single at the same time. The two will, however, work on new music together. Fans will recall the last time the two worked together was on Nas' single "If I Ruled The World". Singer Chris Brown appeared on BET's "106 & Park" yesterday. When asked what his favorite tunes were for the moment, Brown replied, "Birthday Cake". Brown, of course, appears on the remix of the song with ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Rapper Waka Flocka Flame says that Jay Z, Kanye West, Rick Ross and other hip hop heavyweights need to thank him for their success because they've all bitten his style. Funny how things work out for someone with only one album to his credit. Just when it looked like they wouldn't appear anywhere anytime soon, the Kardashians will sit down with Oprah Winfrey for an interview on "Oprah's Next Chapter" this Sunday. The show will also include the second part of her interview with rapper 50 Cent. Rapper Jay Z continues to build his empire. He's teamed up with Duracel to launch a wireless charging device which will be available in coffee shops, gyms and other areas. No word on when the device will be on the market. The upcoming BET Awards just got bigger with R&B star Usher and two of hip hop's brightest new stars, 2 Chainz and Big Sean, being added to the list of performers who will grace the stage. Usher will perform on the BET stage for the first time since 2010, when he performed his hit "There Goes My Baby" from the album "Raymond Vs Raymond". 2 Chainz will join Big Sean. Big Sean is up for several awards, including Best New Artist, Best Male Hip Hop Artist and Best Collaboration for his song "Chardonnay" with Kanye West and Roscoe Dash. The BET Awards will air on BET and Centric on July 1. Drake has responded to claims he purchased a Rolex which belonged to a New York attorney from a New York jeweler. As mentioned previously, a New York attorney dropped his Rolex off at the jeweler's for a cleaning, only to discover it was nowhere to be found when he returned to pick it up. According to a statement from his representative, Drake claims he knows nothing about the missing watch and purchased the piece, which he can be seen wearing on the cover of his latest album, "Take Care", directly from the jeweler. "America's Got Talent" continues its new season tonight as contestants compete for the grand prize. Waka Flocka Flame and Bow Wow have new music in stores this week. On DVD: "Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows", "Tyler Perry's Good Deeds", "Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance" and "Superman Vs The Elite". On the tube: "Hell's Kitchen" on Fox, "NCIS" on CBS, "2012 NBA Finals" on ABC and "American Ninja Warrior" on NBC. Happy Tuesday!
