Wednesday Roundup

Big Boi and Andre 3000 of Outkast haven't recorded together since 2003's "Speaker Box: Love Below", which won the group a Grammy. Now, rumors are swirling that Andre is blocking opportunities for the group. They recorded a song which was to appear on either a T.I album, or a Frank Ocean album, but Andre doesn't want any Outkast reunion song to appear on either album. Hopefully, the guys will work something out soon. In the meantime, another rumor is swirling about singer Frank Ocean being a homerecker. Reportedly, he had a relationship with producer Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, Stewart's wife learned of the affair and ended the marriage. This was kept quiet to avoid hurting Stewart's career, apparently. Robert "Meek Mill" Williams appeared in court on gun and drug possession charges recently. He was given probation, which means he'll have to report to a probation officer to ensure he stays out of trouble. Congratulations to singer Monica are in order. She and NBA star husband Shannon Brown are expecting their first child together. No word on when the baby is due. Drake and Rihanna lead the list of nominees for MTV Video Music awards with five nominations each. Other nominees include Katy Perry, Jay Z and Kanye West, Beyonce, Frank Ocean and Coldplay, among others. The MTV Video Music Awards will air on September 6 on MTV.   Rapper 50 Cent's fifth studio album for Interscope Records finally has a release date. After a year of legal battles with the label, during which he released a mixtape and a free digital album outside of it's purview, the new album, "Street King Immortal" will hit stores on November 13. Interscope announced the release date with a press release followed a number of teases from Fifty himself about the album. Fif just released the first single, "New Day", featuring Dr. Dre and Alicia Keys. He street album, "5(Murder By Numbers)" was released earlier this month. Rapper Jay Z has added video game producer to his business ventures. He was announced as the EP overseeing the next installment of 2K Entertainment's NBA 2K series, NBA 2K13. A trailor and posted announcing his involvement in the game was posted on his e-zine "Life + Times". Don't think for a second his Brooklyn Nets have received any special treatment. Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls, Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers are featured on the cover. On the tube: "So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox, "Big Brother" on CBS, "The Middle" on ABC and "Summer Olympics" on NBC. Happy hump day!
