Monday Memo

The film "Hotel Transylvania" topped the weekend box office, earning over $40 million dollars. "Looper", "End Of Watch", "Trouble With The Curve" and "House At The End Of The Street" round out the top five films of the week. Taping of the BET Hip Hop Awards wrapped up yesterday, but not without drama. Rapper Rick Ross and Young Jeezy got into a scuffle backstage. Some sources say shots were fired, but police deny that any shots were fired. Police did put the entire building on lock down, although no arrest were made. Another rumor circulating is that rapper 50 Cent's entourage got into a scuffle as well, although this hasn't been confirmed. At any rate, the show will air next week. Rapper Kanye West is in hot water with a publishing company. The company says West paid for sample clearance, but used the same track twice. No word on a court date. It looks like Tameka Raymond, ex-wife of singer Usher Raymond may be looking for a new home soon. Per their divorce agreement, he has the right to sell the 12,000 sq ft. home they shared as long as he gives her 30 days notice. The ladies of the reality series "R&B Divas" says they're working on an album based on the series. No word on when the album will be released. TLC's T-Boz, who has been having financial trouble, according to rumors, will have her own reality series. No word on a title or when it will air. Chicago rapper Sasha Go Hard certainly lives up to her name. The Windy City native recently performed two short but potent sets at 285 Kent and at Santos Party House. Although her hometown has made headlines for the 391 lives lost to gun violence this year, it's also making headlines for the explosion of it's local rap scene, with the emergence of stars like King L and Chief Keef. The MC has released two mixtapes and certainly has more in store for fans. On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "Dancing With The Star: All-Stars Live" on ABC and "The Voice" on NBC. Happy Monday!
