Wednesday Roundup
The show's new season hasn't begun and already there seems to be trouble in "American Idol" paradise. Video of Nicki Minaj cursing Mariah Carey out during auditions in North Carolina has surfaced, and it's unclear where things will go from here. And this after Carey dispelled rumor of the two arguing. More details regarding the arrest of rapper Lil Scrappy have finally become available. It appears that he was arrested for missing an appointment, which he now says he didn't know about. Scrappy says for the past few months he's been on non-reporting status. The problem isn't about not being permitted to drink or smoke. Rapper Lil Bow Wow may have to pay a little more in child support after not reporting that he's inked a deal with BET to host "106 & Park". He told a judge during a hearing that he earns $3,000 a month working for Cash Money Records, but only time will tell how much more he'll have to pay. The family of Whitney Houston is trying to stop daughter Bobbi Kristina from getting her inheritance. Trustees of the late singer's estate, including mother Cissy, have filed documents asking that monthly payments be delayed. No further details are available. Although no announcement has been made, it looks like the host of "The X Factor" will be Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez. No word on when the two will film their first episodes together. In other Kardashian news, it looks like another reality series featuring ex's will be airing soon. While it doesn't have a title, a show featuring the ex of Kardashian's husband Lamar, as well as the ex of rapper 50 Cent and others will appear on the show. Rapper Jim Jones escaped legal trouble by striking a plea deal with prosecutors stemming from a brawl at a casino on Connecticut. Jones will pay a 1,000 fine after an arrest for interfering with an officer after a fight that nearly caused a riot. Forbes magazine has released it's list of highest paid women in entertainment. Oprah Winfrey, of course, topped the list, with Ellen DeGeneres and Brittany Spears making the list as well. Way to go ladies! On the tube: "The X Factor" on Fox, "Survivor: Philippines" on CBS, "The Middle" on ABC and "Animal Practice" on NBC. Happy hump day!
