Thursday Dish

Atlanta rapper Ludacris is not happy at the moment. He's filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against a Texas couple claiming they stole the name "Disturb The Peace" for their new business. The problem is, Ludacris owns a record label called "Disturbing The Peace", and has for quite some time. The two names are different, and it remains to be seen where things will go from here. Stay tuned. Reality star Kim Kardashian is probably not doing well at the moment. Ex-boyfriend Ray J, the man who made her a household name, popped the question to his model girlfriend and she accepted. No word on a wedding date. Mediatakeout.com is at it again. This time the web site is reporting that Rihanna wants to have Chris Brown's child and the two plan to marry soon. We'll have to wait and see if that ever happens. A judge is demanding to see the footage of Chicago rapper Chief Keef firing a weapon at a gun range. The footage was reportedly shot while the teen was on probation. If so, he could go back to prison for some time. The nominations for this years Grammy awards have been announced and Frank Ocean, Miguel, Drake, Jay Z and Kanye West are all up for awards. LL Cool J will host the show, which will air in February. Rapper Gunplay may be stuck at home, but he's not out of the scene. He recently posted a video update discussing his legal case involving armed robbery and the beef between 50 Cent and fellow Maybach Music Group artist French Montana. Gunplay went on to say he doesn't care what's going on between the two and he doesn't see others at all. Oh well. While rap fans don't have the much talked about Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana collaboration album "I Can't Feel My Face" to look forward to, the MCs will unite in a way some may not have expected. Lil Wayne will executive produce Santana's next solo effort, "Born To Lose, Built To Win". During a recent interview, Santana said he went to visit Wayne in Miami and asked him to executive produce the album. Santana hasn't released an album since "What The Game's Been Missing" in 2005. In the meantime, he plans to satiate fans with the mixtape "God Willin" the first volume of which will be released in January. Despite the failure of "I Can't Feel My Face", Santana added that the two plan to make the most of their work together on "Born To Lose". No word on when the album will be released. On the tube: "The X Factor" on Fox, "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, "Last Resort" on ABC and "30 Rock" on NBC. Happy Thursday!
