Wednesday Roundup

Dr. Conrad Murray is not taking any responsibility for the death of singer Michael Jackson. During an interview with CNNs Anderson Cooper, Murray claimed he tried to wean Jackson off the  prescription drugs that eventually killed him. He added that he will not testify during the wrongful death lawsuit trial against promoter AEG. In the meantime, media outlets are begging the judge in the case to allow them to show live coverage of the trial. AEG says it doesn't want the trial to be televised. Footage of what actress Halle Berry and her fiancĂ© and daughter had to endure after  getting off a plane recently has been aired and it's clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that the actress needs to hire better security. She had to hold her fiance back, who tried to attack one of the photographers. Several cast members of "The Real  Housewives Of Atlanta" will be getting spin offs. Kandi Burrus will have one called "The Kandi Factory" and Kim Zolack will have one called "Tardy For The Party" as well. No word on when the shows will air. Rapper Kid Cudi is leaving Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music. He says it's a business decision and West is like a brother. He wants to focus on building his own record label. Singer Justin Timberlake will have to prepare the suit and tie for a  performance at the White  House. He's among several artists scheduled to participate in a tribute to Memphis music. The show will air on PBS later this month. Last Tuesday marked the eighteenth anniversary of the death of West Coast rap legend Eazy E. He died from what doctors then called complications from the AIDS virus. He was co-founder of Ruthless Records co-founder of seminal rap group N.W.A. Even with all of that, his legacy has been overlooked. Now his daughter is hoping to change that. Recording star E.B Wright plans to release a documentary which will focus on the death of her father. She says there's a story there and there's a lot of misconception out there as well and the film will clear it up. The documentary "A Ruthless Scandal" will focus on the rappers untimely death while uncovering stories from friends and family. E.B was only four when her father died and says she's been told stories about  her father. While other documentaries have been done about Eazy, this one will be more in-depth and have interviews with former members of N.W.A, family, friends, doctors, lawyers and court papers will all be there. Like many West Coast die-hards, E.B. feels her father doesn't get the respect he deserves for not only paving the way for other rappers, but also for today's urban impresarios to capitalize on what is now a global phenomenon. Although she can't mention any names until  everything is confirmed, E.B. promises big names and big surprises with "A Ruthless Scandal". The film is slated for release some time in 2014. In addition, E.B. is becoming quite the mogul herself. In addition to overseeing the documentary, she's preparing her debut album and will have her own reality show. On the tube: "American Idol" on Fox, 'Survivor Caramoan; Fans Vs Favorites" on CBS, "The Middle" on ABC and "Dateline NBC" on NBC. Happy hump day!!
