Friday Facts
All that glitters isn't gold and all that glitters isn't a part of the Diamonds World Tour either. Two men have been accused of posing as reps for singer Rihanna with connections to Lady Gaga and duping concert promoters out of more than $2 million, according to CBS. Sylvester Vincent Carroll, 47 and Meceo McEaddy (aka Ray Ennis), 38 of New York, were indicted on felony grand larceny and scheme to fraud charges. According to prosecutors, since 2010 the two men have tricked Brazilian concert promoters out of $1 million for a series of Rihanna shows in Rio De Janeiro and raked $500,000 for promising that Lady Gaga would perform at a private party in Cancun. McEaddy also faces criminal tax charges and is accused of pulling in money for a fake KeSha show in Taiwan and another phony Lady Gaga show in Long Island. According to the New York Post, the men used the money for jewelry, car payments and travel. Bail was set at $650,000 for Carroll and $1 million for McEaddy. During a recent interview, actress Rae Dong Chong made some disparaging remarks about Oprah Winfrey. Among other things, Chong stated that the way Winfrey looks now is how a housekeeper would look. She added that Winfrey would be the house N*****. Winfrey has not responded to the comments. Sounds like Chong is trying to garner attention. The ex-wife of actor/comedian Kevin Hart is finally speaking out. She stated that she was there before Hart became successful. She added that the divorce and Hart's flaunting of a new girlfriend hurt. When asked if she wished she were in the new woman's shoes she replied no.
