Starring in the Lee Daniels directed film "The Butler" has brought up painful childhood memories for singer Mariah Carey. During a press conference for the film, Carey revealed that she was the target of a racist encounter. She recalled being spat on like the character played by actress Yaya Alfia because of the color of her skin. "The Butler" hits theaters on August 16.
