Monday Memo

The film   "The Riddick" topped the weekend box office, earning over $18 million. "Lee Daniels' The Butler", "Instructions Not Included", "We're The Millers" and "Planes" round out the top five films of the week. The mistress of NBA star Lamar Odom is now speaking out. She claims that the two have been hanging out indulging in drug use together for some time. She added that she received a text message from Odom's wife Khole Kardashian. She will reportedly tell her story to Entertainment Tonight. Rapper Lil Wayne is set to tell his story to Katie Coric. It's sure to be an interesting interview with the Young Money Entertainment CEO. Rapper Meek Mill has reportedly done well in his etiquette classes, but not well enough for a judge to allow him to travel. He's still on probation. Singer Bruno Mars is set to perform the Pepsi halftime show at this year's Super Bowl. The pop star made the announcement during an appearance on NFL Fox Sunday yesterday. He'll join a distinguished list of performers who've taken the stage during the most watched sports event in television which includes Beyoncé and Madonna. As for what he has in store for fans, Mars responded by saying, "It's five months from now. I've got some phone calls to make". Rapper Jay Z is gearing up for a busy fall season. Live Nation announced that the Roc Nation head will hit cities in North America this year as part of his Magna Carter World Tour. Via his Life + Times web site, Hova laid out his plan: start on Nov. 30 in St. Paul Minnesota. and close it out on Jan 31 in State College Penn. Hova will begin the European jaunt of the tour in the U.K. Manchester Arena on Oct. 3. Jay has been on the road for most of the summer promoting "Magna Carta Holy Grail". He and singer Justin Timberlake wrapped up their co-headlining Legends of Summer Tour last month. Since it's July release, Magna Carta Holy Grail" has pushed 900,000 physical units on top of one million digital  copies downloaded by Samsung Galaxy users. Actor/comedian Arsenio Hall returns to late night television with his new talk show. It airs on Star 64 at 11: 00 p.m. It's good to have him back. On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "Shark Tank" on ABC and "The Million Second Quiz Live" on NBC. Happy Monday!
