Thursday Dish

Rapper Lupe Fiasco is denying claims that he helped his former business partner and mentor, Charles "Chilly" Patton, hide $9 million. A lawsuit was filed by Patton's estranged wife accusing the Chicago MC of helping to keep money from her in the couples ongoing divorce battle. Patton is serving a 44-year prison sentence and allegedly used money from his music industry dealings to fund the drug empire. Lupe took to Twitter to deny the accusations tweeting "Hahahahaha....hiding my own money from somebody else's wife...ain't that a b****! #FreeChilly!". Lupe added in his tweets that the money is legitimate. After calling out the media, the rapper jokingly prayed for the controversy to die down. A lawyer for Fiasco recently told celebrity website TMZ, "There are no secret accounts". A hacker is responsible for an alleged Justin Bieber N-word tirade on YouTube, the singer's camp told celebrity web site TMZ. The impostor posted a page resembling Bieber's and uploaded the single "What She Wants" featuring the teen sensation sing what sounds like "she wants me to be her n*****". Despite the racial epithet, the track netted more than 200,000 page views and received 4,000 likes and 300 dislikes. It has since been removed from YouTube. Bieber's handlers maintain he had nothing to do with the page and that he wants it removed from the internet. The pre-hacked song does have an owner. His name is Khail Underwood, who tweeted, "Justin Bieber never said the N-word, but I did because it's my song". Bieber, on the other hand, has not addressed the matter publicly. As for the hacker, no one knows who's behind the scheme yet. Actor/comedian Eddie Murphy has reportedly decided to get into the social media game along with singer Prince by opening a Twitter account. No word yet on when he'll post his first tweets. Actress Viola Davis graces the cover of the latest issue of Essence magazine. The Oscar nominee discusses her career, learning to appreciate her own beauty and what's next for her. The latest issue of Essence magazine is on newsstands now. On the tube: "Glee" on Fox, "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, "Wipeout" on ABC and "Football Night In America: Kickoff 2013 Live" on NBC. Happy Thursday!
