Monday Memo

The film "Gravity" topped the weekend box office once again earning over $17 million. "Captain Phillips", "Carrie", "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2" and "Escape Plan" round out the top five films of the week. Rappers Kanye West and Drake have cancelled dates on their perspective tours. As far as West goes, the reason given for the moment is "unforeseen circumstances" with a promise to make the dates up. West reportedly performed one date with a character resembling Jesus before dropping to his knees. After which, his hit "Jesus Walks" blared through speakers.  As for Drake, a problem with equipment is the reason given. No word yet on when or if the dates will be made up. The Toronto rapper and rapper Future were rumored to be feuding but put their differences aside to kick off the tour.  Singer Cee Lo Green will be cleared of assault and charged instead with possession of narcotics. An LA County District Attorney has determined that there's not enough evidence to convict Green. An unnamed woman accused the singer of slipping ecstasy in her drink then assaulting her. The DA determined from evidence that Green used the drug. The two had dated for some time prior to the incident. Geen has not commented on the ruling. R&B star Usher will executive produce a documentary about the teenage high school dropout epidemic titled 'Undroppable". No word on when the film will be released. On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, 'How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "Dancing With The Stars Live" on ABC and "The Voice" on NBC. Happy Monday!
