Monday Memo

The film "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa" topped the weekend box office, earning over $30 million. "Gravity", "Captain Phillips", "The Counselor" and "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2" round out the top five films of the week. While in Washington DC, singer Chris Brown was arrested after a fight with another man in a local nightclub. Details regarding what really happened are sketchy, but at any rate, Brown is being held pending a hearing later today. Dr. Conrad Murray is now a free man after being released from prison. He was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the death of singer Michael Jackson. No word on when or if he'll apply to have his medical license reinstated. Yet another celebrity couple will be walking down the aisle soon. Rapper Future proposed to his girlfriend singer Ciara in New York City with a 15 carat diamond ring, a representative for the couple told the Associated Press. The couple has been dating for over a year and earlier this month it was rumored that Ciara was expecting the couple's first child, reports which they have not addressed. Future referred to his now fiancee as the "one" during an interview with radio station Hot 97. No wedding date has been announced. On the tube: "2013 World Series Live" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "Dancing With The Stars Live" on ABC and "The Voice" on NBC. Happy Monday!
