Thursday Dish
Rapper Kanye West may get the recognition he feels he deserves. Time magazine named his latest album "Yeezuz" as the best of 2013. The magazine praised the work, despite the fact that it struggled to go gold. In addition, West may have a problem with Nike, but rapper Drake doesn't. The Toronto rapper announced his deal with the tennis shoe giant for his own line of Jordan shoes. He even posted a picture of the finished product. There's no word on when the shoe line will hit stores. In more Kanye West news, the Anti-Defamation League is demanding an apology from West stemming from comments West made during a radio interview with Power 105.1's "The Breakfast Club". Voicing his frustrations being a Black man attempting to fight his way out of the glass ceiling of the fashion industry West said, "Black people don't have the same connections that Jewish people do. Black people don't have the same connections that oil people have". The ADL has released a press statement regarding West's comments but West hasn't responded. Rapper Jay Z celebrated his 44th birthday by ranking his twelve solo albums. According to a post on his Life & Times blog, Hova ranked four of the twelve albums classic works. He even offered commentary on each album. In other Jay Z news, he and wife Beyoncé have decided to go vegan for a month. The two were spotted having dinner at a vegan restaurant in Los Angeles. Happy birthday Hova! On the tube: "The X Factor" on Fox, "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" on ABC and "The Sound of Music Live" on NBC. Happy Thursday!
