Tuesday Tales

Here's one for the shortest beef in hip hop. Rapper Cannabis ended his beef with J. Cole 48 hours after starting it. It all began when J. Cole sited Cannabis as an influence during an interview, even going so far as to name a few of the rapper's old hits. The  problem began when Cannabis got upset about the fact that J. Cole didn't mentioned the rapper's more recent material. Cannabis then released a dis track, only to recant everything 48 hours later. At any rate, let's hope all involved learn to grow up. There's plenty of room in the game for everyone. Rapper Lil Wayne appears to be the next artist to start a clothing line. He's taken his passion for skateboarding to the next level by teaming with Truck Wear to release a clothing line devoted to skateboarding. There's no word on when the line will hit store shelves. Rapper Snoop Dogg took the "it ain't no fun if the homies can't have none" thing a little too far recently. The rapper reportedly blazed one up and passed it to a fan in the audience during a concert in Atlanta recently. There's been no word on any arrests. It looks like the divorce between Mark Anthony and Jennifer Lopez is getting nasty. Lopez is rumored to be seeing a dancer, whom she's reportedly toured with. Meanwhile, Anthony is none too pleased with the relationship, as the gentleman has a criminal record for speeding mainly. Anthony has reportedly stated that he does not want he and Lopez's children near the man. We'll have to wait and see how this drama plays out. Rapper Flo Rida has struck a deal with prosecutors that will have him in a first time offender class instead of jail. Fans will recall the rapper was arrested in Miami some time back for dui. His blood alochol content was more than twice the legal limit. Let's hope from this point forward the rapper stays out of trouble, and gets back to what he does best. Making great music. Fans of Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy's "Thug Motivation" series will be sad to know that during a recent interview, the rapper stated that the latest installment, "TM03: A Hustler'z Ambition", will be the last. He says it's on to the next chapter, the next phase. Although the new album has held back several times, it's now set for a December 20 release and should be well worth the wait for fans of the rapper. He's also released a documentary about his life, "A Hustler'z Ambition", which was directed by Chris Robinson and narrated by Samuel L. Jackson. The documentary covers the rapper's life and career and should make for very compelling viewing for all. Rapper Drake is now in hot water with his hometown Toronto. The rapper placed a billboard up using the city's logo. The billboard was placed in October, and the city discovered it a few days ago. It remains to be seen what will come of the situation now.  The competition continues on "The X Factor" this week. The contestants are sure to bring the heat as they battle it out for the grand prize. On DVD: King Fu Panda 2", "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes" and "Fright Night". On the tube: "Glee" on Fox, "NCIS" on CBS, "Last Man Standing" on ABC and "William And Kate: Inside The Royal Marriage" on NBC. Happy Tuesday!
