Monday Madness
It looks like fear took over the weekend box office. The horror film, "The Final Destination" was made the number one movie taking over 28.3 million dollars, according to estimates. The film took the top spot from Quinton Tarintino's "Inglourious Basterds" which took in another 20 million. "Halloween 2" took the number three spot with 17.4 million. It's Rob Zobbie's update on the classic horror film franchise starring crazed masked man Michael Myers. Rounding out the top spot are: "District 9" 10.7 million, "G.I.Joe: The Rise Of Cobra" 8 million, "Julie & Julia" 7.4 million, "The Time Travelers Wife" 6.7 million, "Shorts" 4.9 million "Taking Woodstock" at 3.7 million and "G Force" at 2.8 million. New York City dj Adam "DJ Am" Goldstein was found dead in his apartment. Police say there is no sign of fowl play, although a empty prescription bottle was found next to the dj's body and a crack pipe was found as well. Whitney Houston's comback cd, "I Look To You" was released today. It was released so that the singer would be eligable for a Grammy award. Columbia Pictures is reportedly in the beginning stages of the third "Bad Boys" installment. The company is currently looking for a writer for the project so no other details are available. On the tube: "House" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night To Rock" on ABC and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" on NBC. Happy Monday!
