The film "Avatar" has finally been booted from the top spot. The film "Dear John" earned over 30 million dollars at the box office over the weekend. "Avatar", "From Paris With Love", "Edge Of Darkness" and "Tooth Fairy" round out the top films of the week. The stars came out over the weekend for the SOS (Saving Our Selves) telethon to benefit Hiatian earthquake victums. Queen Latifah, Wyclef Jean, Rihanna, Jay Z, Monica and Ludacris were among those were performed during the telecast. Be certain to check out "American Idol" tomorrow, as tomorrow's Hollywood night and Ellen DeGeneres will make her first appearance on the show. In case you haven't already, check out the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine with rapper Lil Wayne on the cover. The rapper discusses his prison sentence by saying he's looking forward to going to jail. A new book will assess the cultural impact of teen themed films by late director John Hughes. No word on when the book will be released. On the tube: "House" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "The Batchlor: On The Wings Of Love" on ABC and "Chuck" on NBC. Happy Monday!
