The comnpetition is heating up on Fox's "American Idol" as the contestants performed for the first Hollywood show of the season. Tonight, the judges will narrow the contestant pool down to 24, and it's anyone's guest who will make the next round. Rapper the Game is staying relevant. He has confirmed that he is working with rapper/producer Dr Dre on his next cd, tentatively titled "Detox". Singer Ashanti is reportedly working on the cd as well. Rapper Shine, who was just released from prison, has inked a seven figure deal with Def Jam Records. No word on when he'll release a cd on the label. Cable network TLC and reality star Jon Gosselin have reached a settlement after a bitter fight. According to a statement by the network released today, the terms of the settlement will remain confidental and the network would like to film the family again. The network filed a breach of contract suit against Gosselin, claiming he made other televison appearances with their permission. He countered suied claiming the network prevented him from working with other media outlets. He has refused to allow the network to film his eight children with ex-wife Kate. On the tube: "Human Target" on Fox, "New Adventures Of Old Christine" on CBS, "Modern Family" on ABC and "Winter Olympics" on NBC. Happy hump day!
