With five nominations under her belt, rapper Nicki Minaj will perform at the 2010 BET Awards. This comes at a time when women in hip hop are hard to find anywhere. Her performance is sure to be one of many highlights of the show. The show will air on Sunday, June 27 on BET at 8:00 p.m. It's been confirmed that singer Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon are expecting. Fans will recall that the singer recently pulled out of an upcoming Tyler Perry film. Sad news out of Hollywood. Actress Rue McClanahan, best known for her role as Blanche Devereaux on NBC's "Golden Girls" died today. She was 76. She began her career performing off Broadway and in regional theater. Her breakthrough came on the 70's series "Maude" where she played Beatrice Arthur's best friend Vivian. She also had big screen roles on "Starship Troopers" and "Out To Sea". It was the role on "The Golden Girls", a show about four mature, single women living together in Miami that she will be best remembered. She will be missed. May she rest in peace. On a lighter note, be sure to catch the Tony Awards when the show airs on June 17. It's sure to be a show viewers won't soon forget.
