Wednesday Roundup

Sara Stokes from Sean "Diddy" Comb's "Making The Band" has filed a lawsuit against T-Pain for unpaid royalties. The singer/songwriter claims T-Pain distributed two songs she wrote to Jennifer Hudson without her permission or credit. Ms Stokes's Sarmony Entertainment is taking T-Pain's Nappy Boy Production/Nappy Boy Publishing to court for all the revenue generated from the songs, including attorney fees. "What's Wrong (Go Away)" is one of the songs in question. T-Pain's reps have yet to comment on the matter. Rapper Ja Rule has a court date as well. The rapper born Jeffrey Atkins, has a August 18 court date for a gun possession charge from July, 2007. The rapper pleaded not guilty at the time to a weapons possession charge when authorities found a loaded semiautomatic pistol in a vehicle the rapper was riding in after attending a concert. Atkins, who is filming a movie, was granted permission to skip Tuesday's hearing due to prior committments in San Jose California. Sad news out of the world of R&B. Marvin Isley, the youngest member and bassist for the legendary Isley Brothers, died of complications from diabetes. He was 56. He, like the rest of his brothers, grew up in Cincinnati OH and joined the group in the late sixties. He provided the bass lines on songs like "That Lady", "Fight The Power" and "For The Love Of You". He will be missed and may he rest in peace. On the tube: "So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "The Middle" on ABC and "The Stanley Cup Finals" on NBC. Happy hump day!
