Tuesday Tales

Singer Faith Evans is back. The singer has released her first studio album since 2005's "The First Lady" called  "There's Something About Faith". She's released it on her own label and is pleased with the freedom it has brought her. She's also slated to star in a film as the late Florence Ballard based on the book "The Lost Surpreme". The film will be released next summer and shooting begins in January. She also has a reality show in the works with industry stylist Misa Hilton Brym. The show will reportedly follow the two friends as they balance work and family life.  Michael Jackson's mother Katherine Jackson and the singer's children sat down with talk show host Oprah Winfrey for an interview to discuss life without the legendary singer. The interview was compelling and heartwarming all at the same time. After six years in business, Sean "Diddy" Combs will be closing his flagship Sean John store in December. Employees were notified last week. Sources say slow sales is the reason for the closing. A spokesperson stated that the company is looking for locations to open stores in New York and Los Angeles. The mogul reportedly signed a deal with Macy's to carry Sean John clothing exclusively, therefore making the flagship store unecessary. Photographer Robert Rosen, who claimed that singer Chris Brown's bodyguards injured him back in 2009, has settled out of court. Rosen filed suit for assault and battery in May 2009, claiming he was injured when the singer's bodyguards chased him after he took pictures of the the singer playing basketball at an LA Fitness gym. According to court documents, the settlement was reached October 28, but no details have been released. Rosen claims he fell down a flight of stairs after being chased and that LA Fitness didn't do much to protect him. A trial date was scheduled for February 22, 2011. Ironically, the incident took place one month after Breezy was arrested in February 2009 for assaulting then girlfriend Rihanna. He's still serving probation for the incident. The contestants performed two routines on last night's "Dancing With The Stars" and the competition is getting down to the wire. Once again, Jennifer Grey wowed the judges. The results show airs tonight on ABC. The shooting of the remake of the 1980's classic "Footlose" is close to wrapping and it's anyone's guest if it will do as well as the original. On dvd: "The Elia Kazan Collection", "Scott Pilgrim vs the World" and "Grown Ups". On the tube: "Glee" on Fox, "NCIS" on CBS, "No Ordinary Family" on ABC and "Biggest Loser" on NBC. Happy Tuesday!
