Tuesday Tales
Fans who have been waiting for new music from rapper Bow Wow will have to continue waiting. The rapper has reportedly been dropped from Cash Money Records, and there's been no word on whether there's another deal in the works. Dawn from Diddy Dirty Money will release a solo album soon. No word on when the project will be released. Singer/actress Jennifer Hudson has been preparing for her role as Winnie Mandela in an upcoming biopic by channeling her inner Winnie. The star reportedly spent a few days in jail to research for the part. Without a doubt, she will do a fantastic job. Actor Denzel Washington has donated funds to an organization supporting war veterans. It couldn't have come at a better time. Although the film "Rango" topped the weekend box office, it has come under fire for it's depictions of smoking. The film includes at least 60 instances of the characters smoking, according to Kori Titus, CEO of Breath California, a Sacramento based non-profit. The organization has a project called "Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down" in which trained young people and adults analyze films and each character seen smoking is counted as one instance, according to Titus. According to Titus, there are so many scenes where the characters in "Rango" are depicted smoking, that her organization may not be able to get an accurate count until the film comes out on DVD. A Paramount Pictures spokesperson stated that the images of smoking in the film are portrayed by supporting characters and not intended to be celebrated or emulated. There will be several guest stars on tonight's episode of "Raising Hope". J.K. Simmons, Skyler Stone and Mary Lynn Rajskub will all make cameo appearances on the Fox show. The show airs tonight at 9:00 p.m. On DVD: "Jackass 3", "The Next Three Days" and "Inside Job". On the tube: "Glee" on Fox, "NCIS" on CBS, "No Ordinary Family" on ABC and "Biggest Loser: Couples" on NBC. Happy Tuesday!
