Monday Memo
"Rio" topped the weekend box office earning over $40 million dollars. "Scream 4", "Hop", "Soul Surfer" and "Hanna" round out the top five films of the week. Lil Wayne fans will have to wait a little longer for the MC's next CD. It's been pushed back to June. There's been no reason given for the delay. Halle Berry fans will have to wait to see the Academy Award winning actress on Broadway. She's put off appearing in a new play to contend with a custody battle with the father of her daughter, Nalia. Chris Brown has announced that he has a explicit verison of his song "Spend It All" coming soon. He took to social networking sit Twitter to make the announcement. He's certainly making it clear that he's all grown up now, and no longer the fresh faced innocent heartthrob young R&B fans fell in love with. Chicago rapper Rhymfest lost his recent election bid for alderman of Chicago's 20th Ward to incumbent Willie Cochran. Cochran received 54.6 percent of the vote, while Rhymefest made a strong showing with 45.4 percent of the vote, according to the Chicago Tribune. He alleged voter fraud, however, stating "we want to make certain every vote is counted, and people didn't live in the ward of vacant lots weren't people who were voting. We want to make certain the 20th Ward voices were heard". Bone Thugs & Harmony recently released a statement regarding the recent departure of Krazy Bone stating that one member left, but the group is still around. The competition continues on "Dancing With The Stars". The results show will air tomorrow. Tune in to see who goes home. On the tube: "House" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "Dancing With The Stars" on ABC and "Chuck" on NBC. Happy Monday!
