Thursday Dish

British Prime Minister David Cameron is supporting a band on racy music videos like ones released by American pop stars like Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera. Over the weekend, the UK newspaper The Daily Mail published a story on the findings of a report compiled by Reg Baily, the first male chief executive of the Mother's Union, regarding the sexualization of children. In addition to addressing the problem of retail stores selling inappropriate clothing for children, a portion of the report also focuses on racy music videos that feature skimpy clothing and sexual play. The Daily Mail reported that videos like these will be banned from television after 9 p.m. Complaints came after both Rihanna and Christina Aguilera gave sexually charged performances on the UK verison of "The X Factor". Rihanna kicked off her Loud tour in the US by giving a female fan a lap dance. Lady Gaga meanwhile, has had shipments of her latest album "Born This Way" banned in Lebanon as well. Copies of the album were seized after it was determined that the album contained material that is offensive to Christians. The album will not be available for purchase in the country at all. Rapper Flo Rida was arrested early Thursday morning in Miami Beach for DUI and driving with a suspended license. Flo Rida attracted the attention of Miami Beach police when they saw him driving erratically through the heart of South Beach in his 2008 Bugatti. According to a police report, his car was swerving. When the rapper was stopped, the officer noticed that he had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech and the smell of alcohol on his breath. When he failed a sobriety test, he was taken to the Miami Beach Police Department for processing and later booked to Miami Dade Correctional Department.
