Monday Memo
The film "Chronicle" topped the weekend box office, earning over $22 million. "The Woman In Black", "The Grey", "Big Miracle" and "Underworld: Awakening" round out the top five films of the week. Singer Madonna performed the concert of her life at last night's Super Bowl. She was joined by Nicki Minaj and MIA, then joined by a choir and Cee Lo Green for her hit "Like A Prayer". Later, the words "World Peace" flashed up. She was also joined by several dancers, and luckily, there were no wardrobe malfunctions. The only thing upstaged moment came when MIA stuck her middle finger in the air during her verse on Madonna's new single "Give Me All Your Lovin". NBC was late in blurring the obscene gesture during the performance. NBC and the NFL both apologized for the incident. MIA has yet to issue a statement regarding the matter. Although many seem to be more interested in and discuss the commericals more that the game, the event was an exciting one that won't be forgotten. Congratulations to the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants. He may have lost one of his soldiers due to Pill's recent problems with Warner Music Group, but rapper Rick Ross assured in a recent interview that he and the Atlanta rapper are still on good terms. He says that once a person represents the Maybach Music Group, he'll never step on their toes. Pill took to Twitter to vent his frustrations regarding his recording deal with Warner Music Group some time back. Some assumed that he was directly signed to Ross's Maybach Music Group, but that's not the case. Ross said in an interview that Pill was signed to Warner before his label deal with Maybach. Pill went on to say he has nothing against Ross. Hopefully, that will clear things up for those who have been wondering. NBC's "The Voice" returns tonight with what promises to be an exciting season no one's likely to forget. Fortunately, all the judges have returned. Only time will tell who will walk away with the grand prize. On the tube: "House" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "The Bachelor" on ABC and "The Voice" on NBC. Happy Monday!
