Wednesday Roundup
Sad news out of the world of music. "Soul Train" creator, host and executive producer Don Cornelius was found dead in his Sherman Oaks CA home dead of an apparent suicide, according to TMZ. He suffered from a gun shot wound to the head which appeared to be self inflicted. "Soul Train" debuted in 1971 and featured live dancing and performances by the most influential black artists of all time, including Al Green, James Brown and The Jackson Five. The show ended it's run in 2006. The show will always remain a significant part of music history because it helped black artists receive exposure they didn't receive in the mainstream media at the time. Don Cornelius's legacy will live on for years to come. Rapper Flava Flav is now coming to his daughter's defense after her arrest. She was arrested after getting into a fight with her stepbrother. Flava Flav tried to break up the brawl, police were called and she was taken into custody soon after. Flava says the whole thing was a misunderstanding and all is well. For someone who claims to be happy with current beau Wiz Khalifa, model Amber Rose sure can't seem to stop talking about ex Kanye West. As mentioned, Steve Jones, Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul have all been given the boot from "The X Factor", and now rumor has it that Mariah Carey and Kelly Rowland could possibly be their replacements. This hasn't been confirmed, so stay tuned. Bravo has given the creators of "The Real Housewives Of Atlanta" the green light for a new reality series.
