Friday Facts

The cousin of the late Aaliyah has stated publicly that the family is behind the planned new album by the singer. Her uncle, Barry Hankerson will be involved in the project, along with Drake, Timberland and Missy  Elliott. The family added that they wanted to update Aaliyah's sound by included comptempory artists. No word on when the album will be released. The war of words between Toya Carter and K Michelle continues. As mentioned previously, K Michelle revealed that she was abused by Toya's now husband, MemPhitz. Toya, meanwhile, asked for proof. Now, K Michelle has struck back via Twitter, before posting another tweet that may make one wonder. Stay tuned. I  have a feeling this thing isn't over yet. Bobbi Kristina Brown recently posted a picture of herself on Twitter with new body art. The teen has gotten a tattoo of her mother, Whitney Housont's initials, surrounded by doves and two crosses. Her rumored boyfriend Nick Gordon has gotten a similar tattoo. Yesterday would have been Houston's 49th birthday. She's left behind a legacy that will live on. Rumors surrounding "American Idol" judges continue. Now, it's rumored that Sean "Diddy" Combs is in the running for a judges set on the hit Fox show. Although nothing's been confirmed, Combs has appeared on the show as a mentor to contestants. We'll have to wait and see what happens. One rapper who seems to think Snoop Dogg's transformation to Snoop Lion is interesting, is 50 Cent. During a recent interview, the G-Unit general stated that Snoop's metamorphosis could be seamless due to hip hop's and Snoop's long tradition of celebrating the high life. The jury is still out on how well Snoop Lion will do. In theaters this weekend: "Hope Springs", "The Bourne Legacy" and "The Campaign". On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, "Undercover Boss" on CBS, "Shark Tank" on ABC and "Summer Olympics" on NBC. Make it a weekend!
