Monday Memo

The film "The Bourne Legacy" topped the weekend box office, earning over $40 million dollars. "The Campaign", "The Dark Knight Rises", "Hope Springs" and "Diary Of  A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days" round out the top five films of the week. NFL star Chad Johnson was arrested over the weekend for domestic battery after allegedly head butting wife Evelyn Lozada. The two reportedly got into an argument after Lozada found some condoms and  a receipt in Johnson's car. Johnson says the whole thing was an accident, however, Lozada says she feared for her life and ran to a neighbor's house for safety. She has filed an affidavit with the police, which  means she's pressing charges. Johnson, meanwhile, has been cut from the Miami Dolphins and there's no word on if another team has signed him. Stay tuned. Singer Rihanna's accountants say she's the reason she's broke and not them. They say the singer's tour in 2009 didn't do that well, and she signed off on the commission they were paid, which was 22%. Only time will tell where things will go from here. In the meantime, the singer's upcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey will be an interesting one. The star got emotional as she recalled losing her best friend after her split with fellow singer Chris Brown. The interview will air on  "Oprah's Next Chapter" on August 19. Singer John Legend checked into the emergency room after feeling under the weather after a return from South Africia. It turns out he has the flu. He'll be find after getting proper rest. Singer Frank Ocean cancelled the rest of his European tour, as well as a planned tour with rock group Coldplay. No reason for the cancellation has been given. He ended a set in Norway earlier than expected due to vocal issues. Here's hoping he gets well soon. R&B star Ne-Yo and girlfriend Monyetta grace the cover of the September issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine. The two discuss their children and their life together, in addition to the rumors regarding homosexuality. The September issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine is in newsstands now. On the tube: "Hotel Hell" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "Bachelor Pad" on ABC and "Stars Earn Stripes" on NBC. Happy Monday!
