Tuesday Tales
After wowing the crowd at the Super Bowl over the weekend, singer Beyonce Knowles announced her upcoming world tour. "The Mrs Carter Tour" is set to begin in March. It should be an exciting show. In other Beyonce news, despite rumors to the contrary, the singer is not responsible for the power outage that occurred during the game. As an investigation into what caused a 34-minute power outage to occur at the Superdome during the NFL's biggest game, commissioner Roger Goodell dispelled talk that the pop superstar's high-powered performance blew the power out of the building. Goodell said there's no indication that the incident was caused by the halftime show. The halftime show had nothing to do with it. According to the Associated Press, Goodell and Doug Thornton, vice president of the company (SMG) that manages the Superdome, both confirm that Beyonce's 13-minute set was running on it's own generator. Goodell also laid to rest the rumor that the city of New Orleans may have blown it's chance to host the Super Bowl in the future due to the fall out from the embarrassing fallout from the incident. Goodell says the NFL will be back for future Super Bowls. Singer Rihanna definitely let everyone who considers her a role model know what she thinks of the subject matter by Instagraming a photo of herself giving the camera the finger with the caption that read "don't call me a role model then act surprised when I don't act like one". Here's hoping that lays the matter to rest once and for all. Fans have no doubt heard Drake's latest single "Started From The Bottom". Now, shortly after it's release Taylor Gang capo Wiz Khalifa has added his own verse to the remix. Keeping his verse in line with Drake's origin of rhyme story, Wiz addresses issues such as his now defused issues with Waka Flocka and even how he once turned down an offer to join Drake on tour. From the sound of his verse, the Pittsburgh rapper is extending an olive branch for Taylor Gang an OVO to stack some collective show money. Fans should love how Wiz sets the remix off, although there's bound to be thousands more. On DVD: "Flight", "Here Comes The Boom", "Peter Pan" and "Celeste And Jesse Forever". He did, however, perform at a Superbowl party and was joined by rapper Jay Z to perform his latest single. It was his first performance in five years. He has a new album due out soon. Photographers should probably be careful when approaching rapper Lil Wayne. While attending the Superbowl, the rapper cursed a photographer out when he grabbed his arm as Weezy was passing by. The whole incident was caught on tape. Rappers beware, keep the Simmons name out of your raps. Taking a que from baby brother Diggy, JoJo Simmons released a diss track targeting rapper Juelz Santana after Santana name dropped him on the mixtape single "Soft". Fans will recall that brother Diggy went into the studio and recorded "What You Say To Me", in response to rapper J.
