Monday Memo
The film "Star Trek Into Darkness" topped the weekend box office earning over $70 million dollars. "Iron Man 3", "The Great Gatsby", "Pain & Gain" and "The Croods" round out the top five films of the week. The Billboard Awards aired last night and rapper Nicki Minaj was among the big winners beating out her male counterparts for each award she was nominated for. No other female artist has accomplished that feat. Other winners include Justin Bieber. Rapper Kanye West performed on "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend and previewed two new songs. Meanwhile, girlfriend Kim Kardashian posted a picture of West's upcoming album. Singer Beyoncé responded to recent pregnancy rumors by blasting critics and saying that "These low lives have nothing better to do than talk about me. All I can do is laugh". Singer Chris Brown may want to watch his back. Death threats were received by the singer's attorney. While it's unclear where the threats originated, Brown will likely beef up security from now on. Actress Lauren London graces the cover of the latest issue of Jet magazine. The actress discusses juggling an acting career with motherhood, how she's managed to help her son bond with his siblings and what's next for her.
