Tuesday Tales
The Billboard Music Awards was number one in the ratings with 9.1 million people tuning in. It certainly was an exciting show that fans won't forget. Rapper Jay Z has confirmed that the rumors that he and wife Beyoncé are expecting their second child are false. He sent an email to radio station Hot 97 program director Ebro Darden to deny the pregnancy. "It's not true", the email said. "The news is worse than the blogs". In the meantime, Mrs. Carter will wrap up the international leg of the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour on June 1. Fans will be happy to know that singer Janet Jackson is working on new music. During an interview with Billboard, the newlywed revealed that she's working on a new project. While she didn't give a release date, Jackson stated that she's happy with the direction that the project is going in. She added that she loves rapper Kendrick Lamar's "Poetic Justice", which samples her single "Anytime, Anyplace". She said there are artists who have been an inspiration to her and she hopes to do the same for others. With 10 albums under her belt, over 100 million records sold, it's safe to say that she's reached her goal. With all the big moments that occurred at the Billboard Music Awards, singer Miguel had a moment that epitomizes the adage "the show must go on". While performing his single "Adorn", the crooner leaped from the stage with intention of jumping over the crowd and onto another stage when he accidentally kicked fan. He gave the audience a hug before continuing his performance. He and the fan met later, with no hard feelings. The fan was not seriously injured and only required an ice pack. Miguel even tweeted about the incident and introduced the fan to the media. All is well that ends well. Rapper Jay Z's Rock Nation Sports recently purchased a Mercedes Benz for recently signed WNBA hooper Skylar Diggins in honor of her graduation from the University of Norte Dame. She Instagrammed a picture of her new car and quoted her new boss on Twitter "I got 99 problems, but a Benz ain't one". Diggins is one of a few that have joined Hova's firm since he ventured into sports management. On DVD: "Cloud Atlas", "Frankie Go Boom", "A Glimpse Inside The Mind Of Charles Swan" and "Warm Bodies". On the tube: "So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox, "NCIS: Los Angeles" on CBS, "The Bachelor" on ABC and "NBC News Special: Devastation In Oklahoma" on NBC. Happy Tuesday!
