Friday Facts

Michael Jackson's nephew TJ Jackson testified in court that Jackson told some family members that AEG Live was going to kill him. This after the singer's son Prince Michael told the court that his sister Paris was hardest hit by their father's death because she was his "princess". Home Depot, Walmart and Target are among the retailers who are severing ties with celebrity chef Paul Dean after her N-word scandal. Target says it will phase out all of Dean's  merchandise and once the merchandise has been sold, it won't order more. Black Eyed Peas front man Will.i.am is disputing rumors that he's suing rapper/producer Pharrell Williams. The two have had a disagreement over the use of the logo I Am, as Will.i.am says Williams's logo is too close to his own. Will.i.am's attorney, Ken Hurtz stated in a letter to Hip Hop Wired that his client isn't suing. The documents filed are part of a standard procedure to maintain a trademark. Will.i.am has several business ventures using the logo, and doesn't want to cause confusion. The two were in talks regarding the matter (at least, their people were), but due to deadlines imposed by the Trademark Office, Will.i.am had no choice but to lodge his objection when he did. Thus far, Williams has yet to comment on the matter publicly asking fans to go to his "iam OTHER" Facebook page.
