Will.i.am's attorney, Ken Hurtz stated in a letter to Hip Hop Wired that his client isn't suing. The documents filed are part of a standard procedure to maintain a trademark. Will.i.am has several business ventures using the logo, and doesn't want to cause confusion. The two were in talks regarding the matter (at least, their people were), but due to deadlines imposed by the Trademark Office, Will.i.am had no choice but to lodge his objection when he did. Thus far, Williams has yet to comment on the matter publicly asking fans to go to his "iam OTHER" Facebook page.
